omfg Morde isn't that bad still.
He's relatively balanced now. Of course CC would be great. But he's almost the same Morde as he was before.
All you need to do is have a relatively good team to win games, because he can't 1 v 5 by himself anymore now.
He's still insanely good in solo lanes. People just need to realize now that you can't lane Morde by maxing W. You can't do it.
You need to max Q and E ASAP because damage = survivability even more on Morde now. I'm not entirely sure how the Gunblade nerf affected him.
Lichbane + Rylai's + SV + Hourglass + Boots is generally what I built when Gunblade was normal. Might replace SV with something else (like SFC) though, idk.

Morde wasn't THAT great before, he just won lanes and pushed at a break neck pace.
Then later he just steals the AD carry when they die.
NOW he doesn't win most lanes, because of that he can't push hard, and he still steals the AD carries but it's not enough to merit the selection of Morde, imo :o

W max was ****ty before unless you were against a super heavy damage lane.
I maxed E every game, and then maxed Q.
W is useful for the sustained damage, spell vamp mostly, then late game the armor/mr buff is nice.
Gunblade nerf was huge, but he just builds Will every single time now.
He used to build gunblade on an easy lane, and will on a hard one, now he build will on the easy lanes, and doesn't get picked against the hard ones.
Tri lane for life.

He's still viable, you just have to change up his play style a little. He's destructive late game. Yes the nerf on getting your shield from minions is horrible, but if you can make it to late game, you can still wreck. If you keep playing the way he used to be played, your going to die, however if you change your play style you can still be proud to say "mord est numero uno".

Now or before nerf? Now early game it's going to be super difficult. When I review my statement before I notice a flaw. He may not be as viable as he was in solotop, excuse that, however he can still bot. A late game mord is still quite horrifying. I'm not a huge mord player myself, but I have lost one or two games to him post nerf. If he can keep himself from feeding early game and get some assists or kills he can set himself up nicely for late.

Ranged AD poops on him so hard, and if they have a healer with them?

If is most of my argument, and I have pro idea of how to do perfect as mord. Who can he 1v1 against? I suppose he could nto beat actual solotops or mids, so in the end I suppose you make a valid point towards that. I doubt he can 1v1 very many people. In bot it depends on who hes against. I would not recommend playing ranked as mord. That would end badly. Have you tried mord 3v3? He can be more effective because a lot of the time it isn't smart to take ranged ad's and supports. You mostly need off-tank champs. Either way I suppose you are correct when saying mord can't 1v1 and can be easily countered in bot. :)
