Over the last few weeks, OMGlantern and I have been hard at work with our new site. This redesign adds in a lot of functionality and usability that our old design lacked. We wanted to share with you who we are and what we’re trying to do. We also are adding League of Legends to the games we play as we also play and think others could benefit from a open practice clan that promotes learning and bettering yourself at the game. [b]What is OMGYUMYUM?[/b] We are an open NA practice clan for Starcraft 2 and now League of Legends. We have absolutely no application requirements other than you are active. We currently have about 40 active users with plenty of lurkers who sometimes like to hang out. We recently are branching into LoL and have many members looking for people to play with! [b]Why should I care?[/b] We are one of the many grassroot SC2 clans out there and now want to include League of Legends. You may be wondering why you should care about who we are or what we do! Not only are we a super rad community, we also run a free to play weekly tournament series with cash prizes for SC2 and soon LoL. We also do coverage of live events such as MLG. We also love to feature those who create content or love to stream and cast but may not have a huge following. We also have helped host live events such as a BarCraft and are looking forward to doing more in the future! [b]What are you trying to make with OMGYUMYUM?[/b] We are trying to create a community that is focused on getting better and creating content. Eveyone here has 2 things in common. We love E-Sports and we want to get better. Unfortunately the nature of SC2 and League is that it is not a very social experience and can get a little dry when you have no one to talk about strategy and tactics with. We are a community focused around improving each other and having fun while doing it. We also realize that some of us (i.e. myself) will never be amazing at this game but love other things in life such as creating music, writing, casting, and making art. The list goes on. We also want to give people who are talented in these departments a chance to be featured if they create something awesome pertaining to either LoL or SC2. [b]What’s new in the design?[/b] Besides from looking totally badass we now have a better system for featuring all the content our members produce. This allows us to have a better showing of our stream lists, written articles, youtube videos and photo albums. We are hoping to become not only a community for people to join to improve their game but also a content provider for all things Starcraft 2 and League of Legends oriented.
