I've found that Trinity Force is a REALLY expensive item for a slightly harder-hitting Q.
I really think it's overvalued on a lot of characters, especially ones that farm as poorly as Poppy.
However, I think the guide is excellent.

@FinalFan

That you very much for your feedback and i can see you have read the whole guide!
Very much appreciated! :)

1. In the beginning, I imagined the most of the damage would come from D.B. But now when I'm finished, I realized that the most of the damage actually come from the T.F in this build. I will edit that out.

2. I prefer T.B.C because it's cheaper and will help you out about as much as the inf edge. For the 1k less, i think tbc is the better choice.

3. I actually never considered the hextech gunblade. I will try it out in my upcomming games and if it works out well, I'll put it on the list.
It seems like a rather interesting choice.

4. I will have to think about this one. I don't think Eleisa's Miracle will be very useful for you after you get Sheen and Zeal, but I do think that Regrowth Pendant may be a stronger starting item for poppy due to her weak early laning.
This is my opinion atm, but I will look more deeply into this one.

5. I think her speed is fine atm. :) Boots + trinity force does the trick fine by now.

6. I stand corrected. I will edit this out as soon as possible.

Thank you again for all your opinions and helping me to improve my guide!

Peace out!

I'm glad you've discovered how awesome Poppy is! But I have a few questions/suggestions.

1. You said that Dev. Blow is where most of your damage comes from, but you recommend against magic pen runes. You know that D.B. does entirely magic damage, right?

2. Why do you take Black Cleaver before Infinity Edge? They're both good items but I'd think Inf. Edge would help Poppy more, especially when Phantom Dancer is the next item on your list. Please explain the reasoning for this in your guide.

3. I notice your build lacks lifesteal and spell vamp. Have you considered Hextech Gunblade? I know it just got nerfed, but it's still quite a good item on Poppy. You can actually exit fights with more health than you entered them sometimes! Not to mention that you can heal up by attacking the blue buff :D

I personally consider Hextech Gunblade almost as much of a core Poppy item as Trinity on Summoner's Rift; in Dominion WOTA is a lot cheaper and gets the job done about as well, but then it's a more AP heavy build which it doesn't look like you're going for.

4. I used to start with Sapphire Crystal and two health pots, just like you, but then I discovered that I could get my Tenacity from Eleisa's Miracle instead of Mercury Treads. That lets me start with a Regrowth Pendant (HP regen) and upgrade to Philosopher's Stone, without having a Philo Stone sitting uselessly in my inventory -- I upgrade it to Eleisa's Miracle for Tenacity and a lot of mana regen. (After Sheen obviously, and probably Zeal.) I find the health regen gives Poppy a lot more resistance to harass and lets me stay in lane where I would have had to recall before, but your play style may be different and you might really want to rush that Sheen, because it's such an incredible item on Poppy.

5. When I play Poppy, I use Movement Speed quintessences, but that's just because I'm a speed addict. You might not think it's worth it, and that's fine. But they do speed you up about as much as going from Tier 2 boots to Tier 3 boots, just FYI. :P

6. I agree Phantom Dancer is a great item, but Poppy should NEVER feel "outrunned" -- I get it because I'm not outrunning people by ENOUGH! AHAHAHAHA

I hope you find this comment useful. Check out my "Runner Poppy" build here. Maybe it will give you some ideas, or maybe you could give me some ideas.
