Because i don't think that Nick realizes that the shield hits twice, and he just gave lux a 410 base, 1.2 ap scaling shield FOR HER ENTIRE TEAM.
+rep ^^ People underestimate this shield so much. Especially when co-ordinating with your team. If your team runs in a line into a teamfight, the initiator first, and Lux far behind, if timed right, they can get the shield on them all twice, and they avoid like half of the initial burst. I've managed to do that with my team lots of times :)

I read all those pages which contained sth like this
fiddle - SUCKS

to be honest WHY do you even compare them?
I know they are like similiar and stuff but
1. Ranked & Morgana .. fail :D
2. Lux - Longranged - Morgana - Initiator and then right in the middle of the battle (ultimate)
And of course I know that it's still
Morgana>Lux
but for those who like to snipe and still do a lot of damage Lux really is fun and awesome
and about the thing with Baron um even if the Jungler is good her Ultimate does the same or even more damage than smite if she got some items ;)

Maybe, it should give higher stats only if lux only shields herself. That would balance it out for laning.^^
