Hey guys. I'm really getting frusterated right now. I haven't won a PvP game in three days and since the only common link between the games has been me, so I must be doing something terribly wrong.

The problem is that I love Sivir's character. I've had extreme success with her character in the past and I want to get better with her. But every. Single. Time I ask for tips or what I did wrong, the ONLY answer I get is "Sivir sucks, play someone else"

I know there are people out there who can make her work, any of you feel like sharing some know-how?

Sivir's actually pretty good at the moment, she's being used a lot more than she used to.

I can't give you anything specifically for Sivir since I just bought her yesterday and only have one game on her, but as an AD carry she is highly reliant on your team being able to protect you and you positioning yourself well in teamfights, due to her being so easy to kill. I'm pretty sure for Sivir it's also important to learn to time your shield correctly to block the most dangerous ability.

Not sure what advice I can really give without a more specific question, just try to keep yourself alive at all costs later in the game by keeping with your team and staying as far back as you can during fights.

Yeah, I guess I should be more specific. I guess the biggest thing is surviving the first 10-15 minutes until Sivir comes into her own, I always set myself up for gank situations it seems.

Hum, well, what kind of setup do you usually play with? Are your teams at the level where they follow the meta and send a support with you?

I'm assuming you're still at the level where everyone basically picks whatever champion they like and go to whichever lane they like.

In any case, the best strategy if you can't 100% trust your laning partner (or even when you can) is to just last hit. Only attack minions one time when they are about to die to get the gold. This will make you safer from ganks and harder to kill, and give you the best amount of gold. Don't play too aggressively toward your opponents unless it's clear you can kill them. If your laning partner does something, try to back them up while staying far enough back to be out of danger yourself.

on Sivir I run

9x Aclarity reds (Attack speed)
9x Flat Mana regen yellows
9x Aclarity blues (attack speed)
3x armor pen reds.

I run 24/6/0 on masteries.

I start with E then get 2 points in Q before W.

priority is R > Q > W > E

other than that you can message me in-game, I'm certainly no expert but I play her fairly often (pre and post nerf)

Huh, starting with E?

Every guide I read recommends Q first, but I'll give it a shot. Couldn't hurt at this point in my skill level.

Prolly go Armor pen marks, flat armor seals, m-res per level glyphs, and either flat AD or armor pen quints

and for skill ordering, what you get first is all about what you need first. if you're against a cait in lane, I'd probably either open Q, or E. if you're against someone with equal or lesser range, It'd be W or E. basically open E only if you really need it. I personally max W first, as it adds tons of burst damage, very quickly, though in a very few lanes, I might max Q first. I still don't have any one particular build down for her, though I'm quite a fan of building trinity, if you're maxing W first.

yes the runes are outdated from since when ricochet was not an active on hit last effect, but I still stand by taking E over Q. Generally most minor harass at level 1 is totally regen'd by level 2

depends on the feel of the lane, but often, yes.
