Why is it that every Nasus guide or build I see meant for solo-top always rushes a Trinity Force?
Honestly.
If you wanna play Nasus, here's a tip.
Counter-building > Damage
If I'm laning against a Tryn with Nasus. First back do I buy a sheen? Do I buy a phage? No. I buy a Chain Vest and Ninja Tabi, so I can win my lane, then buy Trinity Force AFTER I buy defenses.
Never EVER rush Trinity it's so ****ing stupid....
The only way Nasus becomes viable, which is quite easy, is to farm his Q up.
In order to farm his Q up, you need to be able to farm.
In order to farm, you need to be able to win your lane.
In order to win your lane, you need to counter-build, because Nasus is such a weak laner if rushing damage.
Yes Nasus is viable, but STOP RUSHING THE FCKIN TRINITY FORCE OMG....

And under what circumstance will the minions be pushed to your turret constantly? Never... Unless you're in some low elo play where the enemies wanna get ganked o_o.
Under no circumstance should the enemy be clearing waves at solo-top.
The whole meaning of solo-top is to farm.
If you're pressured in your lane and forced to play super passive aka missing cs, that means you're doing something wrong.
Nasus can get past this by buying armor. His passive sustains him enough to pressure enemies if he gets armor. He can trade blows ONLY if he has enough resistances to counter the enemy.
Let's say Tryndamere.
You're Nasus.
You're pressured on early. You zoned out hard, because Tryndamere rapes the **** out of Nasus before first buy,
You go back, and buy a Sheen.
You try to trade blows / farm: effect = nothing. You simply can't do anything, because Tryndamere still zones you out the same. The only time where you can farm is when he ACTUALLY overpushes. He can still zone you out like hell. After 6 he can just dive you.
You go back, and buy a Chain vest.
You try to farm / trade blows: effect = better. You can take in more damage, and that damage gets healed off of your passive. Tryndamere cannot zone you anymore in this case. He will have to regain his lane dominance in order to do so, and that is a lot harder to do since you have around 100+ ****ing armor.
If you're playing Nasus against an enemy, there's no such thing as playing passive. You will either get raped and zoned to hell, or you will do decent and be able to farm.
@sn0wwarrior
You won't really be needing any AD items on Nasus lol, the only one I can think of is Atma's... Well unless you're facerolling of course.
@Psi
Agree, but emphasis on IF YOU CAN DELAY THE DEFENSES. I see tons of people keep buying Sheen when they're getting pressured. That's so stupid...
Building all of
There are barely champions that nasus can outlane, so the ones he can play passively against are the only times that nasus is viable.
In those cases you want to get a trinety rushed so you deal circ a quite great damage early game, if u plan to have a stable afk farm game get a sheen, or if u are totaly confortable with tanky items just go for wathever u want.
Now why do people 1st base for sheen:
So you can just last hit minions whenever the chance is there, you can do this behind your turret, at his, when you are getting ganked, it doesnt matter coz sheen 1hits minions starting around level 6.
Why should some people NOT get it?
Some people use it combined with cdr and mana regen to just 1hit entire waves early game, I feel like a overextended nasus is deffenetly a dead nasus since his escape abilety is not that great ( he can slow 1 target ) so the other ( ganker ) will eat him easely early game.
But to get back at your post... win a lane?
1 vs 1 me ill give you 20+ champions nasus cant win a lane against what so ever ( and i am not even good with those champions )
Thats why you got the trinety force:
-movement speed
-damage
= cs
I rather get sheen up and then some survivabilety so i can win the first dragon fight ... but I think that's rather personal.
QQ
I need to make a Nasus guide along with the other 20 champions I know how to play -_-
And especially on Nasus wtf. He's like the #1 farm-needing champion.
It's so stupid how people dont realize win lane = farm, farm = carry, carry = win
