Title says it all, really :) Where do you think Ninja Tabi stands now, when it comes to boot-picks?

Which champions should we take them on, and which shouldn't we?

Discuss.

Nerfed but still good and necessary vrs certain comps.

Still cheap, and realistically now they're probably balanced.

They were nerfed though, make no mistake about it.

Definately nerfed.
Just get them as a counter for top.

If a team has Vayne, or if a team has Tryn and Vayne, lots of scary right clickers, they are a very solid pick up.

Okay thanks, I thought that they were nerfed too, but at least the damage reduction is 100%, so it's basically like receiving one dodge every 10 times, which equals 10% dodge (by the odds), which is 2% less than old boots.

So a 2% nerf huh? :)

No.

It's a much more drastic nerf than 10%.

These are like 1/4 or 1/3 as good.

Mathematical logic and functional logic aren't comparable in these games sometimes.

Hmm, I'd like to see how you came to that conclusion. How's it that much worse?

It's hard to explain.

League is a game where HP matters a lot. The more HP you have, that's a weapon you can use.

That means that taking zero damage sometimes, is better functionally than taking less damage all the time.

If you open a fight and get 2-3 dodges, the other team can have already lost the fight when it has just begun.

*Shrug*

Not to mention that if you calculate the math out, and calculate resistances and HP and % armor penning and all of that, dodge is just a little better in most instances.

But doesn't dodge counter one's own armor? I mean, if you got 60% dodge chance (not likely in most cases), doesn't that mean armor is useless almost half the time, while the damage reduction stacks with your armor? :)

Just brainstorming here :)

Not really.

Armor counters physical damage skills better than it counters auto attacks. (This is due to crit damage making auto attacks hard to build armor against, particularly when factoring the cost effectiveness of % armor pen like Last Whisper and the % ArP mastery.)

However, dodge was more effective vrs auto attacks and crits. It was cheap, for 900 gold + runes you could get around 20% of your opponents attacks to completely miss.

Think of the 7-800 damage crits Vayne could deal with an I.E and a PD + LW.. Even in the face of 200 armor she'd be hittin' for a solid 400 per crit. You can't tank that for very long at all, you -will- die initiating against that. Ninja Tabi made that something that you could deal with, and initiate in against.

NOW you just eat the **** against those crits. Your best bet is Randuin's Omen, and Ninja Tabi against heavy hitters. I don't know how the damage reduction is factored, but to save complex math I'm just going to subtract 10% from 400 and say now she still hits for 360. Guess what, you're still gonna die, although 360 is much better than 400.

So while yes, you still buy Tabi vrs heavy hitters with right clicks, it's certainly not as good as before.

Someone should get a Frozen Heart too.
