Wait, "basic attack", does that apply to Gangplank's Parrrley? O_o In which case, it's pretty epic (idk if dodge applied to that ability though).

I honestly don't know if those could be dodged or not, but I bet that Tabi reduces it's damage now.

Gangplank's parrrley could not be dodged.

And as others said, Ninja Tabi got nerfed. They aren't bad by any means though.

They arent "bad".
They got nerfed a bit n exchange for certainty.

The old ones were more to my taste and it's funny how suddenly ppl pop up out of thin air saying that you should chose between Ninja's/Mercury's while they never thought of getting Tabi's before rework.

Regarding Parrrley:
I dont think the reduce affects it (same for Mystic Shot etc.)
Basic attacks are basic attacks. Skills like that are only applying on-hit effects and scale 1:1 with your overall AD.

It should reduce the autoattack portion of skills which amplify the same, though. ( Empower, Noxian Diplomacy etc.)

As said above, a chance to completely negate damage is much better then 10% reduction. Dodge was strong because it impacted the outcome of AD fights so dramatically. With the Nimbleness mastery you could literally escape any situation by just leaving. I wish they would add more AD reduction because i'm tired of Vayne roaming around criting me for god knows what.

The item at a 900 gold price tag is probably balanced, the issue is that the old ninja tabi was downright OPIE~

So... some maths.

Old tabi, 12 % dodge chance. That means you dodge 12 out of 100 hits. Let's say an AD carry deals 60 damage per hit, you would receive 6000 - 720 = 5280 damage.

New tabi, 10 % damage reduction. You receive 6000 - 600 = 5400 damage.

So a 1.2 damage per hit nerf. Seriously, not much happened.

And yes, I know you were able to get dodge from runes too, but that does not affect the effectivity of tabi.

I think the new tabi are fine as they are =)

There's no way to say "Ninja tabi got nerfed by X amount because of the dodge"

You could dodge every time or you could dodge 0 times. It's all random.

Generally speaking when it comes to functionality, you'll get more out of a dodge than you would out of damage reduction.
