Damage isn't so low considering that its a few seconds CD flash...120 damage late game with 0.5 ratio, meaning if you have 500 AP you deal 370 damage and each subsequent jump in that time will cause + 120 damage. So if you jump to him after like 3 jumps, you will deal 850 magic damage.

Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.

But the mana cost becomes considerably higher.
Kassadin is an odd bird. Fun, but has to be played properly.
True but in lategame a good Kassadin will have blue buff and typical builds go RoA and maybe Banshee so you end up with 2k mana late game.
But like said, its few seconds CD flash. How can you complain?

Moved.
Kassadin with the current popular build (Tear into Catalyst into RoA into Deathcap) can use his ultimates frequently and doesn't have to worry about mana issues once he gets blue buff, since he'll have so much mana. Your ultimate at 3-4 stacks will start seriously hurting, and since you shouldn't jumping in until they're all low or several of them are dead, you can do some very good cleanup with Kass.

Thank you for the correction. :)
This is a great explanation thank you. I love using it as a last hitting tool but I seemed to get focused down a lot during team fights making those consecutive jumps difficult.
Thx for everyone for all your input so far too!
