Hmmm... I'm not so much a fan. Sure, leavers should get banned but what about people whose computers crash? There should be a better way then manually reporting but not an auto-ban. Too chancey.

I agree with Jebus. There should be a thing that if they leave, there should be a wait time.
Like for DC, give them 5-10 minutes to rejoin. A ragequit is well. They leave for more then 10-15 minutes. Iunno. That's my theory.
Funny story though. About a month ago, I was in a normal game. These three dudes, pre-made right, they left after they joined. So it was basically me and Kat left to play. We wooped some *** and lost. :3

I like the leave ban idea. As far as crashes go, how often does that really happen? If you computer is crashing that often, you should spend some time and money to fix the problem because you are still negatively affecting the other players game play.
I also don't think that the manual reporting should end. It gives Riot a history on a player. Dozens of different players complaining that some douche ragequits his games, then longer bans for him. No bad reports, less time banned.
The problem I'm seeing lately at the lower levels (I'm only 11) is people who get pissy because their team didn't roll the other team quickly and start spamming the Surrender option. It fails 1 Yes to 4 No and he does it again. After 3 or 4 attempts you notice that the player is just sitting by the summoner, and occasionally moves around to avoid being caught afk, but he's definitely not helping.
I'm looking forward to catching up in levels to some of my friends so I can avoid some of the problems taht come from random teams.

So apparently there's going to be a new auto-ban for leavers within the next couple weeks. Of course, that's Riot time and not normal time, so we don't really know how long it'll be.
I'm excited personally; I hate games where people just drop out in a pretty even match.
