Updated the item choices (and many more things), he can be melted, but if you play carefully you can avoid 1v5 confrontations.
Please do re-read the guide as I added a lot of details.

Urgot should alternate between AA and Acid Hunter to maximize effect. I know his AA range is nothing special, but in mid you have range you need to deal considerable damage and effectively burst down the ap mid early on. After that you have the advantage and you can do as you please.

But... Even though after the early game raping and gaining a huge advantage in damage, you didn't buy any defensive items (triforce isn't that great for defense), but because of Urgot's ****py range, he can easily be melted by the enemy team because he has to go so close.

This really opened my eyes to how urgot needs to be played. Truly revealing.

@archon458 really? My first blood level 3 contradicts you :P
btw, nice match history, 2 times positive, once as recommended items talon, and the other in coop vs ai.
Not to say anything, but how about you actually TRY the build and play it properly (or even try the CHAMP) before saying something like "no damage early game" or "he's an ad carry".
Maybe read forum posts about him. Be pertinent please.
