Boots of speed 350 + Ruby crystal 475 + (Recipe 375) = Total cost 1200

Move speed 2

200 HP

Unique passive; Champions wearing Granite boots cannot be popped up.

(Considering removing the ruby crystal from the mix and leaving the price fairly high as it is a great unique effect, but I think this gives the boots some more depth which is good.)

OP Passive. The though for hp boots crossed my mind the other day though.

And I think Ninja Tabi is ******ed. It has armor AND physical attack reduction. That's what armor does anyway, Riot. It's the same thing. -.-

What about this:

Boots of Speed 350
Ruby Cristal 475
Rejuvenation Bead 250
Recipe cost 175

Total cost 1200, gives 200 HP, Movement 2 and 10 HP regen.

Things turn out best for the people who make the best out of the way things turn out.

The whole point is to counter pop ups. Lawl. I'm not gonna release new boots just because HP on a boot would be cool. :P

I don't think the Granite boots are completely OP. Pop ups are one small part of the game. If your boots are 100% to counter pop ups, that's a serious investment, when you consider there aren't too many of those.

If you have some good slows, Anivia or Sejuani or Ashe, and a champ like Malphite or Cho, and some stuns or whatnot, you can quickly start to force your enemy to pick merc treads or Granite boots, and either one will be very good.

I really don't consider the passive to be OP.

It just may be OP with the health. I like the idea of an anti-pop up item. It adds a counter-pick item to a select few champions and it's only one form of CC they are immune to. There is still stun, slow, snare, suppress, and knock-back.

There just aren't very many knock-up champions so the boots would be pretty useless most of the time and the slot would probably be better replaced by something that will help you more, because negating all the other CC may be slightly more important than avoiding that one knock-up. Cho, Malphite, Alistar, Xin, and Wukong I can think of immediately. Unless of course you were fighting all those champions on the same team in one game.

Seems too situational to me. Imagine if there were "100% resistance to frost slows" boots or something like that. Sure, it's really strong against certain champions, but completely useless against most team comps. The usability of the passive seems to skewed towards one set of champions to me. Merc's are different since they affect a wide range of abilities, but only for a portion of the duration.

What I would like to see is an active spell shield. Like Banshee's Veil, but the shield appears on command. That would be a workable counter to displacement CC like knockups knockbacks and pulls. Dunno if it would be OP or not, but I think if it was balanced it would be a fun mechanic. They would have to make it similar to QSS or something without too many passive stats or everyone would just buy it.

Enemy Malphite? Buy boots, counter champion.

At best it should be 30% or 50% if you're pushing it.

I don't think you can do that 30%-50% reduction given the difficulty Riot has balancing their pop up mechanics lol, but that's not my field.

It's okay if you force people to buy a bad boot to counter one skill, I think. If people buy this boot because Cho Gath, then they are probably dumb.

Also 1200 is super expensive, there are better boots that are cheaper.

The price you pay to counter Pop ups with these boots is large.

Psi, Merc treads counter all of those skills. However, 100% resistance to slows would be too strong. Also, the spell shield you're describing would be ****in OP lol.

It's just a method to counter something that currently has no counter. The boot itself is actually really a ****ty item.

All it really does is add some counter play methods. A concerned AD carry buys them end game, and a QSS, and they have some escapes and such.

I dunno, maybe it's too good maybe it's not, you'd have to see it in game, but I suspect it wouldn't break anything.

Spell shield would have to be balanced somehow, maybe CD or item effects. Would be fun though. QSS sounds OP when you describe it to someone, but it's not. Anyway that wasn't really my point.

Imagine you're playing against a Singed. You buy Granite Boots. It is now 5v4. See what I mean?

If you're not against any champions with a popup, the boots are 100% useless.
