I've done something similar in PS CS5 many times, but I can't seem to reach anywhere near the quality your render there has. Any tips for a rookie? :3

Zoom in a lot, and I use the polygon lasso tool. Thats pretty much the tips I can give I think. Also search for the best quallity picture you can find, to cut your render from. (Thats pretty much of explaination).
