Yeah it would be nice to have some searching options in the PM system. Doing a full search is tricky but, just letting you search by author might be simpler. I will take a look.
However you actually can't currently delete PMs. You can ignore or archive them, there's no delete function at this point. If you ignore it, it just won't get bumped when someone else replies to it. If you archive it it will leave your inbox but will get bumped back if anyone replies. The archive function is a handy way to keep organized - when you're done with a PM just archive it, and use your inbox as a "to do" list for messages you still need to reply to :)

Would this be possible? I have a lot of PMs and I don't delete them like I should. And sometimes I lose track of PMs that are important.
