I just want to see what people like to bring to top lane. I often call the top lane champions the "Disruptors" because that's what they do. They are the opposite of the support in which instead of supporting their ally team, they wreck havoc to the enemy team by usually dishing out tons of damage and/or providing lots of CC to assist your carries. So what do you guys think?

Imo the champions that dominate top now are Tanky dps such as Yorick,Olaf,Gangplank,Nasus,
Shyvanna,Riven and Wukong. Just the pure fact of building 1 or 2 ad items then getting super beefy is very strong like if your facing a heavy ad champion just get ninja tabi and chain mail you beat them np.

They should be the worst enemy of the carries.

Most of the time you want a tanky dps top. Someone that can deal some dmg and take some. In certain comps you can run 2 Ap or a squishe top(ad carry) but for that you need a tanky jungler and if you can a tanky mid like morde, sion or galio

GP, Irelia or Nida top. Last can be built both tanky ad dps or loads of AP. Those pokes!
