I love how everyone just fails to come with any practical input on this matter ^^ I'm still waiting for someone to actually try it out. It's easy to gank with Exhaust btw. I know it applies to every ganker, but exhaust is great. Try it.

So what you're trying to say is your testing > everyone else's math, theories, and logic when you don't even bother to explain why other arguments and reasonings are invalid.
lol.
this is truly pointless if you're talking to someone who won't take in input from others or even bother to counter your points and then simply say "nobody's providing anything useful i'm right you're wrong with no legitimate reasons that even make sense"

I didn't say I'm right, everyone knows tank Warwick works, and I've tried it thousands of times (okay, not that much, but you get the point). I'm just saying, there's far better tanks out there, who said pure tanks were dead? I see them all the time, and they roflstomp everything in sight.
Even though Warwick is an off-tank, he is far better with more offense than defense, because he doesn't just excel in teamfights, which is the only area you have noted that on-hit Warwick is weak. I'm talking about early offense for ganks, counter-jungling etc. etc.

So... you're saying that in order for your version of WW to work, he needs to take Exhaust?
Instead of what? I'm assuming that you play WW as a jungler, hence the use of the word "gank". Most jungle WW's I've seen go with Flash/Smite. And I'm willing to bet most junglers would be unwilling to drop either of those for Exhaust.
And tbh you should be ganking more often than exhaust is up. It means you're limiting your ganking capability to only every ~2:30.
In lane, on-hit makes you into a sub-par melee carry, who is stupidly squishy. That's in the late-game.
In the early game (Levels 1-10 or so I reckon) you seem to think you can farm up enough for on-hit WW. You can't. Maybe a Bloodrazor and half of Malady.
Exhaust, however, is a valid summoner spell to take in lane imo.

Teamfights are pretty much what matters the most late-game. I'd rather have a WW who can survive long enough in a teamfight to slap people around some than one who gets nuked down in 2 seconds.

You didn't respond to either mine or BusDriver's points and you haven't given any strong reasons for DPSwick yourself.
As said, how are you taking Exhaust on junglewick? Even if you are, it's still fairly short range and I fail to see how it's going to make you able to gank through wards as you suggested you could do earlier.

But teamfights are all that matter lategame. If you want a strong early jungler for either ganking or counter-jungling you simply don't pick Warwick because there are many other junglers who can do either one better. In all honesty Warwick is just a poor jungler in general lately. I'd prefer to see him played in lane.
You seem to me like you're just out of touch with how the game is played at a high level, no offence.
None taken, I agree that I do not yet know how high-level play is, but I do disagree with
Glacial Shroud that early. I don't build
Madred's Bloodrazor early, that would waste it's lategame potential, when people get high HP. I rush
Madred's Razors, Sorcerer's Boots and Wit's End first, then go for
Malady, and THEN either consider a defensive item if I get focused alot or I get
Madred's Bloodrazor if we're winning. That' how I roll, and I've never failed with it up to this point. I get at least to
Malady every game.
You think I'm neglecting defense completely, but that's where you guys are wrong. I usually only need one or two defensive items to deny those who are a threat in my games. The rest is on-hit items. I admit though, I don't know what high-ELO is like, so I've no idea why I'm arguing with you. I'm saying, on-hit works like a charm in my level of play, and I've seen some tough games in my career.
But hey, arguing can get quite heated sometimes, I hope there's no bad feelings around, I'm not trying to offend you or anything :) Cheers!

You get the Glacial Shroud into Frozen Heart because everything on it is perfect for Warwick. It gives the highest armour of any item excluding Thornmail, it gives him CDR so you can use Q more often in fights, and it gives him mana - Warwick has big problems with mana, particularly if you're laning. It is one of the best AD counter items in the game and if you're laning top lane is all about counterbuilding.
But by all means don't trust me, Guardsman Bob is probably the most well known Warwick player with over a thousand games on him at 2k Elo and he builds him almost exactly the way I mentioned on the last page. :P
I think your build is actually pretty decent though for junglewick, you should just cut out the Malady and build something defensive there instead. Preferably Frozen Heart. Even if you're roflstomping and already have a great tank on your team and just want damage you'd be better off going for Bloodrazor instead of wasting time with Malady.

I can make their laner either choose between losing 3 levels, or being ganked by me :) It's easy with team co-ordination.
So..... your going to sit near a lane and waste your time? How is this winning exactly?
Heard of minion tanking? Look it up, there's little to nothing one can do about it.
I honestly don't see this as a legitimate strategy. Anyone can grab minion aggro and use life steal to counter it. NOT WARWICK SPECIFIC.
His passive was buffed as long as you play him on-hit. Malady, which lowers the enemies' magic resist, will now boost his passive even further, giving him a mini
Are you trying to claim you can farm up for a
I'm still looking for some REAL reasons that Warwick can act as a strong pre 6 ganker. Waiting on you Kurt.
