Ad yi has some serious laning issues, especially against a likely ranged mid. Your only harass (keep in mind you have no CC outside Exhaust) is Alpha Strike, but you max it last? You won't be able to ever get them to the point where you can ult in for the kill.

AP yi has the advantage of a heavy harass with Alpha, and is quite annoying to lane against with his Meditate sustain. If you don't have any AP, your meditate is going to drain your mana real quick, and you won't be able to do much of anything except tower hug.

Also...you have Doran's Blade + masteries which amounts to 6% lifesteal. Not enough for a melee character to sustain his health at all. If you gain back 6 health from every 100 hit, and you are just last hitting (God help you if you push your lane), you won't be healing at all. Spam Meditate if you want, but you don't have any mana fixes either.

Yi can mid, but ad? not rly...
and if its a jungler like rammus or somebody else with great cc, yu just die...

Yi mid, with dorans blade.. You're going to be destroyed.. Plus your AP carry should always be mid.

Don't play Yi mid unless you plan on playing him AP.

Your item choise isnt that bad.. But the general guide just isnt good enough.

You don't explain options, you just demand that we follow one path.
