I could probably help. What do you want to know? I could talk it out here or we could play in-game.
I've spent a pretty good amount of time as Riven. Guides don't always cover everything (even though I have one), so I can cover what I don't in the guide.

Probably the only two major items that I'd consider necessary for Riven are
Bloodthirster and
Last Whisper.
Mercury's Treads, too, I think.
After that, it's more a matter of getting the damage you need while being able to last a bit in fights. My usual build now is
Mercury's Treads,
Bloodthirster,
Last Whisper,
Guardian Angel,
Warmog's Armor, and
Atma's Impaler. Pretty much in that order. Grab some
Doran's Blades or a wriggle's before you get your BF sword, and get a giant's belt before your last whisper. Start boots and 3 HP pots most often.
Riven is a champ that requires some snowballing to do well. She's got an insanely good early game, and she needs that to help carry her into late game. The most important thing for her damage is to make sure that you take advantage of her passive. It adds half her item AD onto her attacks, so each hit with a passive is basically a 50% damage bonus to her auto attacks. Late game, if you've picked up some items, this is huge. A BT will give you 150 AD effectively.
Also, late game you should almost be spamming her ult. It's on a 45 second CD (less if you have some CDR) so you'll pretty much have it available for every team fight. This gives you 20% bonus AD, and half of that is added to her passive. It's sort of a showstopper. A good measure of when to use wind slash is when opponents are about 1/3 HP or less.
Short answer
BT and LW will give you a lot of damage, and earlier is better. Make use of her passive to deal the most damage, and don't let stacks go to waste. Late game depends on her early game, but don't hesitate to use her ult in teamfights. Items are AD, lifesteal, and survivability.

You can even spam her ult in early game.
Harass a bit with with skills and autoattacks, wait for CDs, ult and go in for the kill. Even when you can't kill someone with it they will usually have to back, so you can push the lane and go back yourself. By the time you come back to the lane it's already up again.

Looking toward someone who's been playing Riven a lot and could give me hints, combos, and "What to Do" in situations.
