Polishing your flag pole is a personal responsibility, you should polish it every day if possible. The need of an additional pair of hands is only permitted AFTER the polishing, when you're putting it in the hole where it wil stand erect, moving back and forth (possibly in and out if the hole is too loose). You must make sure to thrust it deep and hard so that it stands firm and proud, until you take it out and polish it again.
