What a shocker, the same exact things were said about the ps3 in terms of backwards compatibility and with the "used games restrictions" and yet that ended up not being true (Though, future models of the ps3 ended up being built without backwards compatibility for ps2 games due to hardware issues). I hate to side with Caucheka with anything, but Kotaku is to gaming news as CNN is to the news MOBAfire is to good guides legendary skins are to your skill level in LoL; irrelevant.

as of the rumors:
not having backwards compatability at all is a ******ed idea. in fact its the main reason we got a ps2 after they came out, so that we could play our ps1 games as well.
and i don't doubt that there will be some kind of restriction on used games, but not allowing used games at all is dumb. although thats pretty much how pc games have worked for a long time.
