Kassadin AS Build

Hey, I recently created an AS Kassadin build. Why? Because it seemed, theoretically, like an idea that would work. My reasoning is that if Kassadin could use his nuke(without AP), then activate his Nether Blade, and auto attack for the duration of Nether Blade(you can fit more ten attacks in with this build), and then nuking them again, it would do much more damage than an AP Kassadins nuke. This is the build: Berserker's Greaves> Phantom Dancer> Banshee's Veil> Trinity Force> Infinity Edge> Black Cleaver Do you think that this build could work well?

I just give him Nashor's Tooth because he does far too well with AP to be dropping that. It's just a bad idea.

Sir, I think that you are incorrect. The whole point of this build is that Kassadin deals much more damage over a bit longer period of time. Heres the math: Lets say theres a lvl 18 AP Kass with 400 AP. His burst does around 1500 damage, and he can then do nothing until his abilities are off cooldown(About a 5 second period). Now, lets say we have a Kass using this build. His burst does still does 750 damage. He jumps in, uses his burst, then activates Nether Blade. Well, see, you get slightly less than 300 AD, and about 2.0 attacks per second from this build. Therefore, you can attack 10 times in the duration of Nether Blade, each attack doing about 390 damage. In total, this is 3900 damage. Added with his burst, this is 4650 damage over 5-6 seconds. And thats without crit, which you will certainly get, having a 70% chance. It is clearly superior to the AP Kassadins burst.

Dude... I think we got already enough of that.

Plainly spoken EVERY AP caster can deal a ****load of AD dmg, rip them off every skill and they're just autohitters after all, with slightly weaker base stats (most cases).

Problem is they don't have the skillset to back it up.
While you try to do autohit dmg on someone like Kassa, because he has such a fine gap closer, you'll be an one-hit forcing yourself to actually stay close to the enemy to autohit.

AP Kassa isn't played like an autohitter: Jump in spam every ability and stay close until CD's ready. Ofc this way an autohitting AD Kassa would deal more dmg...
You go in and kill the target you can take down with one round of your combo before retreating.

Math won't do this any good because it's the playstyle which lets your idea crumble.

You know what annihilates auto-attackers? CC. And with your build (lacking any decent defence) you will die extremely quickly. You may play AD Kassadin if you want. My AP Kassadin will destroy you in mere seconds while your auto-attacks take 3 times as long to put out the same damage.

My main issue with playing a build like this is survivability. Most people that play kass know that if you're doing good you get focused. Now the point of this build is to deal more sustained damage. Sounds like a good way to stack up some more deaths.

That being said playing in random pubs you could probably still post a decent amount of good games.
