Until it is serious enough to discuss something else I will be the one paying for it.
and, as I said in my above comment, BOTH people should take precautions.
If you want to pay for it then I don't see why anyone would argue. But please do not even mistake you wanting to pay for it for you having to pay for it. it's completely different. If you want to pay for it then the guy has really no choice in the matter. And if you say that pills are have bad secondary effects why would you even take them before the relationship is serious enough to discuss contraceptives?

There is this thing called Implana that my girlfriend has. It has the lowest pregnancy rating of anything except abstinence. Pretty awesome. But if we fall into that .02%, I'm not going to be a ***** and run away.
Yeah, but that's because you guys chose the best way of contraception. If she refused to take that knowing that condoms can burst, even though you didn't want to take that chance, and it happened to burst, would you keep dating her knowing it could happen again and lead to a potential pregnancy?
I mean other ways of paying for it (in my experience it's not much of a conversation to pay for it mutually until the relationship is very serious)...not what to take. (and if there's even a possibility of something turning sexual I'd rather be safe than sorry)
Hey. Here's a solution: Don't have sex!
PROBLEM SOLVED! \:3/
Sex doesn't make up anywhere near 50% of the relationship anyways. So if being with the girl/guy you love is more meaningful, then having sex shouldn't even matter. Wait until after you both get settled down you crazy 16 year old kids.

I'd say it's subjective. To some people it matters more than to others, and that's part of finding the right relationship for you.
