I went 0/21/9 masteries. For runes, ArPen marks, Armor Seals, MR/Level Glyphs, and flat AD quints.

I actually maxed W first before Q, and it worked pretty well. In ganks, I can actually tower dive and keep up with my HP with W.

Thoughts?

Looks pretty good, imo too much health regen from force of nature, which could be keeping you healed up, but other than that looks like a viable build. Even without q you had 70 / 5 hp regen a second. But the cdr would make spamming q alot stronger. The 21/9 masteries are starting to be around alot more, its interesting.

Movement speed quints and you're set for life.

FoN could be optional, I would personally prefer GA instead.

Oh yeah, GA is for sure, but the team I faced was more magical damage oriented.

I see, so you're saying an offensive Hecarim plays better than a tanky Hecarim. I'll try 21/9/0 next time.

sorry no i ment the defensive build, although i have found that offensive has its perks as well. they are both quite playable, with offensive being slightly more sustainable in jungle early game

What about the champion spotlight video? The build that Phreak uses is pretty good. But I guess it all depends on your playstyle.

Boots+3pots -> Wriggles -> Heart of Gold -> Tier 2 boots of your choice -> Sheen -> Warmog if need HP, Trinity if damage.

HoG?

I watch streams all the time and I always see Hecarim junglers pick up a Shurelya. Why HoG? Would you go on for a Randuin's after? Or just keeping it for gold? Unless I build HoG very early and keep it up to 27 minutes, it's not worth it.

HoG gives you the little more survivability, gold per 5, and I certainly wanna build Randuins as you are going to be in the middle of the massfight. I think shurelya is good item too, but its going to delay your triforce/warmog if you go double gold per 5 and Randuins > Shurelya IMO. Of course it depends on the game, you wouldnt buy randuins against double AP and unfed AD carry, then u would just go for philo...
Another thing is that shurelya is better item when you are already winning, as it helps with chasing, when you are losing massfights/massfights are even, Randuins is going to help a lot more.
