He was rather insightful and overall I valued his presence for that reason. His biggest issue was his inability to accept any view besides his own. He wasn't just stuborn, he was totally blind to the words of anyone else. Most of the time it was ok because his reasoning was generally correct (well ok, in the conversations I saw at the least), but sometimes he just clung irrationally to things.
Regardless of how he acted I considered it a loss when he dropped off
