I don't agree with your starting with W (yes I read your comments), but entirety of the rest of the guide looks solid to me. Will have to try that out next time I'm playing Varus a lot.

I'd prefer a switch between Infinity Edge and Bloodthirster. Even a fully farmed Bloodthirster does not increase your DPS as much as an Infinity Edge, and there's no reason a simple Vampiric Scepter won't do the job (lifesteal/sustain) on its own. Your assertion that Varus does not synergize with crits, while a champion like Ashe does, also doesn't make much sense.

Yes, I start with W - that's how it's listed, but I usually only do this if i start out with Boots so I'm able to farm and harass better (plus, you're Q will be wasted mana that early and without Blight stacked).
Furthermore it helps me getting the golems down faster without needing any mana - I don't use my Q until level 2 (even if I skill it first while starting out with Doran's Blade) because it doesn't do enough damage compared to its mana cost.

That's just my opinion and it suits my play style better - of course you could do it your way, too! ;)

And yes, Last Whisper is situational, but usually at late game, there will be tanks with more than 200 armor and that late you'll kill the squshies fast enough to igonre building on more damage - that's why I usually take a Last Whisper in my build.

Interesting build, my favorite one, I play ranked Varus much better after reading this. But man, seriously are you taking W at first level? Isnt that weird little bit? I max Q as soon as i can and then W+E at the same time (taking W at second level). Furthermore I think Last Whisper is really just a situation item, depending on enemy, if they stard stacking armor its OK, but not always. Anyway nice build, go on with this and that list of possible enemy bot AD is just AWESOME thing, it helped me a lot.
