Do NOT write a guide for a champion that is releases within the last 2 weeks. To be honest before that it is pretty much impossible to write a decent guide, anyways.

Uhm, my 2 cents... If downvotes bother you that much, you shouldn't be writing guides in the first place.
I write guides primarily as a source of information. It would be like if a wikipedia page had a downlike bar and people didn't like what they read. To me it wouldn't matter, the information is emotionless, does not care about it's rating.
That's also why I don't waste my time with pretty picture and formatting. The rating means little to me, what matters is that people can find the information they need.
I think to be a happy guide writer, you need to think like that. :P
