Hello all,

I'm currently lvl 16 and the strategy that my team uses is 2-1-2. But in the most videos I watch, they play 1-1-2 plus a jungler. Should I lead the team and use that strategy or still use the first strategy and in lvl 30 the other one?

Greetings, Ineidynn

1-1-2 is most optimal for the current meta, but unless you know the solo top lane can hold 1v2, it's generally safer to go 2-1-2. In lower levels of play, the solo top might be against two ranged champions, which is really dangerous.

Alternatively, you can play jungler and clear the jungle once, then start going golems > red > wraiths > wolves > blue > gank top to try to help top snowball so that he can 1v2.

Yeah, jungling before you have proper runes / masteries is very difficult and slow. I agree with Polse, try it out once you get some tier 3 runes.

It is best to have a jungler so your team overall has more exp, but not always going to happen at low levels. :(

Although runes makes your jungle times and sustain much better it is not essential. I've gone multiple games as a jungler without runes and it works out fine. Full masteries are a MUST though. Runes a still a staple though. Just saying that they are not a MUST have in order to jungle

He's level 16, never tried jungling before, probably doesn't even have any jungle champions.

Would you advice this guy to jungle before he has any runes?

yes. 1-1-2 is currently the meta. and it works better than 2-1-2. ive personally played many games with 1-1-2 VS 2-2-1, and usually, during the lane phases, 1-1-2, has a bigger advantage.

Playing 2v1 is a pain in the *** but since you have 2 jungles to clear (and hope they arent warding theirs) you get lvl 6 little behind your solo lanes if you farm only. That is a massive advantage but you need fast jungle champ with good sustain (Lee Sin, Trundle, Shyvana, Udyr, Nocturne etc.)

In normals it's usual for that not to happen, even at level 30. You'll probably just start seeing junglers, the way I did. If they're good, you'll love the concept, if they suck you'll probably dislike them.

The advantage is:

- Many champs can passively hold a lane vs 2;
- More experience and gold for the soloer;
- The jungler can help lanes in need with ganks, providing kills;

As for champs that can hold versus 2 top, you have a nice deal, but depends on practice and opposition: Garen, Irelia, Kennen, Nasus, Olaf, Lee Sin are just some examples
Thank you Tsuki for the sig!
