Ok so apparently theres a who had his post downvoted, and looked at his profile and saw that he liked mine...

he immediately assumed that it was a troll account i had made so now hes downvoting my guide.

i tried to report him but i guess he isnt breaking any rules or anything.

what should i do?

i dont really want to go down to his level and downvote his.

**And sorry if this isn't the right section to post this, there wasn't anywhere else that i thought this would be appropriate in.**

to tell you the truth, you cant really do much about it. troll voting isnt against the rules. though it's really hard to prove it wasnt your troll account, you can always say how troll accounts will be banned and troll accounts dont work too as mobafire tracks the IP address for voting.

Going to try to contact him again tommarrow...

Hopefully we will can sort this out.

Honestly the guide he had was just the recommended in game build and Darius's lore that was copied and pasted...

and i guess a friend whom i had sent my post to had also checked his out and disliked it...

so i guess by having a friend who likes mine, means that its my account and that im trying to troll him...

A lot of guide authors tend to be a bit paranoid when it comes to downvotes. If you can't convince him that you haven't downvoted his guide, I'd suggest just letting it drop. Focus on improving your own guide and you'll get the votes you deserve. It's always nice to have a couple friends help get you going, but chances are there are plenty of ways to improve your guide.

And don't be worried if he keeps accusing you of cheating the system. You will never be reprimanded for IP hacking without evidence.
Thanks to Lugignaf for the sig!

^ Psi gave you the best answer there is.

In this case, revenge votes is allowed and although he thinks you downvoted him or thinks you are a troll account, there will never be a ban without evidence. The admins can track your IP and see if you are a troll account, and you can assure yourself since you aren't a troll account.

If anything, just ignore him and let it go. Your guide will shine and improve one day and one downvote from this guy won't hurt you.

PS: If anything, most #1 guides have immense numbers of downvotes/trollvotes. Simply because new authors 'cheat' (legally cheating I guess) by downvoting the #1 guide in hopes to get their guides better looking. These people are terrible and immmature, but will always exist in society, and in this case, Mobafire.

It's one of MobaFire's unfortunately glaringly obvious imperfections as a guide writer.

You'll either get over it or stop writing guides. This one's not going to change.
