Note regarding the author of this guide:

He randomly downvoted not only my Sona guide but also the Nidalee one with the sentence:

"Getting downvotes sucks..."

It's an answer to my vote above and it seems he can neither handle constructive criticism nor write some himself.

This guy is a mad troll voter and his guide shouldn't be read by anyone

I'll leave this here as a warning for all the newbies looking at the guide and those who might think about voting themselves: Take care, it is not only senseless but also only made for trolling purposes

Have a nice day

Nice effort but you should not pick heal ; ignite on ad carry take flash and : heal, ignite, exausth or cleanse. You should consider that the black cleaver gives more AD and an AS bonus
So its worth the money. Watch the finals of the worldcup and you will see that nobody buys last wisper but the black cleaver is pretty commen item.

Spells picked because of their noob properties, not because they were what the pros used. Spells you have mentioned all appear in the spell section with explanations of why they work and what to use them for. Last Whisper is a cheaper item that does better across a wider spread and thus is much better all around and much more so for noobs. Once again, there shall not and shouldnt be a bunch of situational items. Honestly though, there doesn't need to be, the build works...

Hi there I'll clarify my earlier comments as I did not explain them properly.
As Mid I hardly ever have to ward both sides of jungle as I know if I ward on side that I can sit close to that side of the lane as I cannot be ganked from that side.

If I have a jungler that is so kind (not a baddie) to ward on both sides of me in the river (usually not in the bushes directly beside me but further up so cannot be 100% of no ganks) then I have more confidence to play in the middle of the lane properly.

In regards to not being flexible in your approach to the metagame I meant your definitions of the roles. Top does not have to be a bruiser, an AP can play top, like Ryze.
Mid can be played with an AD rather than an AP as this is only convention and can really screw up an enemies build especially when they take MR Runes and masteries and/or in their early build then switch lanes (galio mid vs AD !!!).
Same goes for Bot having to be AD, an AP can also work here in situations, however this is not as good as an AD mid.
Other common changes is to have a teemo or twitch bot who can aid in counter jungling and roam alot rather than support bot full time.
Also the game is not always fixed in one jungler, two bot one mid one top. I have heard of playing 2,1,2 with one of each of the top and bot jungling part time and roaming/ganking aswell. It gives the advantage of having 3 high level chars rather than 2 and 2 person ganks at times.
I have also heard of Pros switching and playing two champs top, however it is a rarity.

These are all variations that can be effective at times and although the top Level pros do not normally do them, I am sure they have used/played against all these strategies before as they can be effective depending on your opponents skill level and how much they rely on predicting enemies tactics.
Another reason why varying the tactics used in top level pro play is that players at most levels of play normal, low and mid ranked elo, do not play like pros and give up 5-10+ deaths per game and so players can rely on more gold and experience coming via those and so things like gp10's are less important (not unimportant, rather that they are not quite as important) than items that give more immediate gains and allow for early kills. Or in a similar vein carrys are not as heavily relied upon to do all the damage on a team and do not get the same CS that very good players get. Supports are not completely weak in lower level play and can be relied upon to do more damage or even to leave the lane for longer to grab golems/wolves etc.

Thats what I meant about your description of the meta being too rigid meant.

Last whisper is often a better choice for carries than TBC due to the higher numbers of champs who get armour above the 112.5 level. However, that number is only useful for calculating highest DPS for 1v1. In any situation where you have multiple champs targeting other champs there is possibility of it not being the most important factor.
A scenario would be where you have a 2v2 situation where a Corki can have either a LW or TBC and the other character, say a blitz, deals mostly physical damage. Both the enemies have 120 armour and so under your reasoning should have a LW. I would contend that TBC is a better option for two reasons: Corki has armour reduction from his E, which can reduce up to 40 armour which means if he uses and can land even half of those shots on an enemy they will have reduced armor of 20. This means that LW will only be more effective at 132.5 armour than TBC.
The other reason why TBC is likely a better choice is that the Blitz, although probably best to focus on using his CC on the enemy and trying to reduce the damage that Corki receives, will also do a bunch damage via autoattacks. If Corki has a LW then Blitz will only have his enemies damage reduced by his own armour pen and Corki's E. If Corki has TBC Blitz's Auto attacks will be able to do more damage making the fight better for their team as a whole. Heres some numbers
Both Blitz and Corki have APen marks but corki also has 6 Apen and 10% from masteries (for simplicity not for realism).
If Corki reduces one of the enemies armour by 20 and they are both targetting that one opponent then with LW corki will be looking at armour of 120-20 with Apen of 21 and APen% of 50% so is looking at
100/(100 + (120 - 20 - 21) * (1 - 0.5)) = 71% damage or a 29% reduction.

Blitz on the other hand will be looking at
100/(100 + (120 - 20 - 21) = 56% or a 44% reduction.

In the case that Corki has TBC and lands 3 hits on the enemy. We are looking at armour values of
100/(100 + (120 - 20 - 45 - 21) * (1 - 0.1) = 76.5% damage or a 23.5% reduction

Blitz will get
100/(100 + (120 - 20 - 45 - 21) = 75% or a reduction of 25%

The second case would blatantly result in more damage as Corki alone does more damage. Even if their armours were above 132.5 then it is likely the difference in blitz's damage would be more than the Corkis gain until the enemy hit something like 160 armour.
Admittedly it would not be as clear cut as this however hopefully Corki would have landed a few AAs to put stacks of TBC on his target before he uses E and therefore have the combined armour reduction on them for a while for both him and blitz to benefit from.

If you have multiple AD Dps characters on a team (yes this is always), then it is often better to TBC one one of the other DPS'ers however if that is not the case then the Carry is a next best candidate to have it.

Thats why as beginners guide I thought you should include it, whether you put it as standard I'm not sure however it definetly needs more of a mention.

I plan on copying any useful content from my current builds and starting new ones if I both to make them look pro as I don't really consider them that good and they are there for the content not the looks. Trolol
