Kayle can be played both as pure dps and hybrid. Pure AP is usually not as good.
I personally like hybrid builds on her because they do almost as much damage as pure dps while also healing and life stealing a lot more.
Hextech Gunblade, Guinsoo's Rageblade and Nashor's Tooth are pretty much necessary on any Kayle build.
Black Cleaver could be very effective as a pure damage item now after the change.
@the vids in PFP's comment: he was playing very good, but that ashe must've been ******ed. She just let him farm nonstop for the entire laning phase. Even I (as someone who never plays ashe) would easily have played better than her..

If you want to play an extreme towerpusher i often go on with:
Sorcerer's Shoes - Manamune - Nashor's Tooth - Nashor's Tooth.

What I'm wondering is if I'm aiming for a Kayle AP burst + nice DPS which is better?

***Gunblade/Malady*** to switch shoes out for because I will have Divine Blessing permanently on xD. If only you could leave items on the ground.
