Its a normal karate stance, which is different from Baders more usual mma stance which is kinda like a cross between a wrestling stance, boxing and mauy thai. Of course some have more roots in others styles and more influence in the they prefer to stand.
Difference is also that Machida is coming from a point style, where the stance and flow usually goes like a game of tag. Compared to boxing and mauy thai which is what most people is learned as mma fighters.
