A typo happens when your typing fast and your fingers aren't perfectly synchronized so one hits the key slightly earlier or later than it should or when the finger simply misses the correct button. Delaying a double tap is not possible, as the double tap "order" comes from the brain. It can't simply jump to a different finger. If it did then your tendons have serious problems.
