The only changes they made on [[shunpo]] were reduce the base damage at level 1, reduce the base damage per level, and give it a shit AP ratio. But at least now you don't have to bother activating your W to take reduced damage when you use it. :l It went from a massive nuke to a utility / escape spell on a very long cooldown at early levels. But considering her new W does more damage per level and has better scalings than [[shunpo]], there's really no reason to max [[shunpo]] other than to have reduced CD on it, which now makes it her smallest priority, whereas it used to be pretty much the most important spell in her kit. Edit: And in mid lane [[shunpo]] is the only way to get in range for [[sinister steel]] and / or her ult, meaning if a jungler was waiting for you to blow it you have no way of escaping unless you killed your lane opponent and reset its CD. And using [[shunpo]] and [[sinster steel]] is the only way [[katarina]] can even hope to win trades against enemies, because [[bouncing blades]] doesn't do much damage, especially not if you don't consume the mark it leaves on your enemy.[/quote]
