+1. I haven't gotten to use Olaf at level 16 or higher with your build. But my prior uses of him with other builds, I gave up playing him because I did so terrible. The fact that you typed out the combo in which to use him, helped me try him again. Keep up the guide.

Thank you for the response! I'll answer promptly.

Maxing W after E is one way to build him, and depending on who you face - you may want to decide to level W a bit more, or even max it second. A good example would be against Irelia. However the damage is highly underestimated. Being able to pick it up, you have roughly a 2 second CD, shorter later in the game due to CDR. In can not only clear creeps fast (allowing you to take your jungle/their jungle, but also allowing opportunity to gank, while denying them a lot of vision with a pushed lane. You have one of the fastest creep-clears due to your Q. The slow also increases which is fantastic. The majority of the time your damage will come from your true damage and skills early on, and your Q>W in terms of damage able to trade. Sustain can be accomplished through lifesteal, Wriggles, Health Pots, and even level 1 W will give you the sustain if you can out trade them by a lot (which Olaf tends to do).

Trinity Force IS a good item for Olaf. I use it often on him in higher ELO games, and for bruisers - it is fantastic. Although many prefer Frozen Mallet and I see why, I used to build it too. However, the health is provided through other items, and the slow is unneeded as you aren't there to deal CC, plus you have already two sources of slows (phage/T-Force and your Undertow). In the case your team needs more slows, or you need health (In a case where you are behind). You pay actually only 435 for the AP. The other stats fully support Olaf. The Sheen proc helps add to the damage, not to mention crit chance, speed, and flat AD as well as several other stats that will help, even minimally. I do agree that Frozen Mallet will make you a tankier, but you are already extremely tanky - and you deal MUCH more damage with T force than Mallet. Going T Force also lowers the need for W a bit for you get more AD from T Force.

As for adding anything else, I'm afraid I've been really busy. When I have time from school and extracurricular activities (darn sports), I'll try to add stuff. Lately my guides have been downvoted quite a bit, and I suppose some of it is due to the lack of updates, especially in lane match ups. I really want to do it, but I can't seem to get far enough to be worth publishing.

As for your vote, it is ultimately to you - I don't believe that my guide is not competitive, nor not viable - it is very viable. However, I was aware that many people will disagree with some choices and that is fine.

A good guide but here are some suggestions
-max W after E as having a maxed W will make you a way better duelist than having a maxed Q and your Q will never be a damage source, it will be just for the utility;
- Trinity Force is NOT a good item for olaf, you will pay so much for the ability power that olaf doesn't need as none of his skills scale with ap, also Frozen Mallet will make you way more tankier and you will still excel at dealing damage;
-maybe add a match up section in the future?
Won't vote till I hear your answer :D.

Me being picky here. I will give you a better review tomorrow but for now, an alternative: get your E at level 2 for people who'd trade that early sustain for a mini true damage nuke. Another this is that you might wanna at the least, add a picture showing your Q's range so as to help people aim more easily.

P.S: you really should add that your Ultimate is one of the few things that stops Malzahar's Warwick's and some other peoples suppress. (I think anyway, I'm so tired I just dozed off there).

All for now, might wanna think about it. I'll be giving more input tomorrow when my mind is refreshed as a thank you for reviewing my guide.

Sincerely,

JungleKing

How childish. Nevertheless, I can't do much about troll votes. I'll guess you have another Olaf build and you want to take my down so yours goes up?

Thanks to every else who is reading and checking out my guide! I hope you guys can comment and vote. ^^

Thanks! Personally, I've never found a game where Vicious Strikes should be maxed first. I believe it's great as 1 point, but isn't worth getting early on for following ranks. True damage will be better at melee match ups, while at ranged/zoned match ups, your axe will be better.
