There are many reccuring questions and about specific champions (Why noone plays Karma etc.) that have been already answered and got kind of lost in the ammount of information in General Forum. People doesn't generally use search because of lazyness and I believe it's hard for moderators to enforce such behavior since there is so much "general" stuff here. There are many game portals ie. Tekken Zaibatsu or Elitist Jerks (WoW related, one of the best forums on the internet) that has sections for each character or class.

Would it be possible to do this kind of division here?

Lol is ever-growing game when it comes to champs and that potientially could be a problem cause everytime the champion is released you'd have to add another section. Also that would kind of scatter people spending their time on general forum but for the sake of stability and freshness that would: encourage people to be more specific, facilitate information gathering, made job easier for moderators to actually punish information doubling or trolling and made the site overall more transparent.

I think that most of the double posting comes from new Mobafire users. It would be hard to separate champion related questions and I'm guessing time consuming too, but I like the idea of uncluttering the general forum.

I think it's hard to have a section for each champion
I saw LoL forums like that and many sections have been just empty for months

You can reply on the champion page ^^

For example:

@Ice
That doesn't serve well for champion strategy development. I just don't see any solid information right there. People just use it to express their exitement mostly.

@TheJohn
That is something that concerns me too but would you rather have small amout of static and safe information or scattered chunks of it? Cause that's how it looks now.

MobaFire doesn't have a reputation of a source of valid information in LoL community (apart from the game database probably). I thought this simple idea could kick it up a notch and make it a bit more mature, like in examples I linked in previous post.

I kind've like the idea but it would definitely have to be separate from the forums since there would be SO many subforums if that were the case. It works better for the games you mentioned because there's only what, 10 classes or so (I know Tekken has more but I am actually familiar with Elitist Jerks)? That's a lot less than 103. Then if it's not in the main forum it will be hard for new users to find and they'll keep making threads in GD.

I agree that the champion discussion clutter is annoying... Maybe we could just have subforums for different roles (AD, AP, Supp, Tank)?

That would crumble IF meta changes and classes are not that strict unfortunately (ie. Tank - pure tank, offtank, anticarry, tanky dps). That wouldn't solve the problem of information fragmentation either.

As for Tekken Zaibatsu they have separate subforums for each character FOR all newer parts (T4 up) of te game so that would be (counting...) around 160-170. They seem to have shi*load of moderators though. :)

Hmm. Really good question. Well, this is kind of an out-there suggestion, but maybe if we had someone other than Team Ez come in, considered a team of "pros" and write a "Commonly Asked Questions" section attached to each champ page, that might clear things up (like "Yes, for those of you who are thinking of running AD Malzahar, his voidlings have a 1/1 AD ratio" or "No, toggling Poison Trail does not activate the proc on Tear of the Goddess). That would probably do ALOT to clear things up, but nothing will ever stop new players from asking silly questions like "Why does no one ever play Karma/ Trundle?" on GD.

And I say 'other than Team Ez' because I have to remind myself sometimes that this site IS linked in some way to them. Never really seen an ez approved guide, and if i have, it was so unremarkable in style or information that I don't remember. We need a more active team sponsor :(

100+ sections.

The effort it would involve would be pretty intense in comparison with how much mobafire has to do now.
