the red on her spells is cool but its nothing to try to get gold for at least to me

Yeah this is a custom skin, but as was pointed out Riot sometimes copies the popular one and puts them into the shop.

It's just a perk for being gold.
Something cool to get. Whether or not it's worth going gold, that isn't the question. You either can or you can't reach gold. Getting gold is for the competition. The bonus stuff is just a perk.
