I'm glad you liked my guide, and thanks for the feedback, I'll take it on board - season 3 changes mean I'll have to rethink the counters, viability of spells and items etc, so there are changes to come :)
In reference to your question about the ultimate, if your team is within range to take advantage of it, you can pop it at any time, the 2 seconds is usually never wasted, but primarily, you should be looking to interrupt combos - such as orianna shield/nunu ult/orianna ult, or stop them taking advantage of debuffs, aoe or hard cc of their own.
Key times would be immediately after a Vladimir ultimate, before Darius can start dunking (on either team) or if the enemy pop an aoe damage spell (Fiddlesticks Crowstorm or Karthus Defile) or just interrupt the enemy combo/dives. It's not so much how long you wait to pop your ultimate but when the most disabling time for the enemy is.
I hope that's cleared things up a little. Anyway, I'll be clearing up the bugs in it over next few days and updating with Se3 statistics and optimization :)
