I like that you clearly say it is a toplane build and don´t include silly full AP builds for midlane. (wtf why should midlane be always AP only ?! how ******ed low IQish)(top moba guid)
I like your "how cool Elise is"- section! ;) I love her too!
I find your text and your build the best and I would like your guid to climb up the ladder!
I think your guid would look better if you removed the 6th item Randuin from the ideal build (which is seen in the list of guids and is what people judge most). Some people might be irritated by the heavy armor stacking and having that empty slot makes them look at your options more. I personally prefere Warmogs in pokegames and GA against rather bursty teams or might need more mres or go for void staff against an exeptionally tanky team.
- The only thing I do not agree with is that you find not taking Rylais an option. The fist can not replace it. I tried it a lot! Also the AP amount with your items and masteries with Rylais (around 210 AP) seems ideal for me (good enough dmg still very tanky) and your mpen makes AP really efficient even on Elise.
-Liandry greatly scales with opponent HP and has the worst stats to cost ratio in the game! Thats a fact! http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Liandry%27s_Torment
It excels in lategame poking and might put you behind if you buy it to early. Maybe you should point that out more.
OH!! And a big thing: Pls change your default runes to MixPen Marks (have higher gold value, you only lose 2 mpen for way better autoattackharass + your spiders profit from it as well (read lol wikia)!
Also change your default Glyphes to per lvl mres with the note that vs AP top you go for flat ones instead of the other way round. (I think it looks better!)
Maybe something of this helps. Good luck! You should play with me one day! ;)
You noted a lot of synergies I never noticed, such as Rylais + Liandry's and the reasoning for picking Randuin's Omen. I hate that item. Always use it wrong, so I never buy it (why waste the gold on potential that will never be used?)...now it's a core part of my build. What the heck kind of magic did you use on me? :P I actually can remember to use it as Elise because you explained how it works with Elise and teamfights.
You answered a lot of questions I've wanted answered, such as whether her spiders gain AD or movement when I add to Elise's base stats (I now know that building Gunblade is a HUGE waste) or whether the Banner of Command applied to her spiderlings. (Can't wait to mess with that sometime soon.)
I adore the tone you used, and while the blocks of color test bothered me (I prefer black and white, personally but that's taste) I really enjoyed reading through your guide. Some of your tables took a little extra time to understand, or maybe I'm just dense? Like your analysis of her Q with bonus AP and health.
It is absolutely indepth! I love it.
So now I have a quick question for you.
Do her spiders benefit from this mastery, do you know?
EDIT: Also, quick comment: your Rune selection "Notes" say max W...and then max W. I think one of those is supposed to be Q? :)
I use the same runes, the same masteries, those don't change at all. On the other hand, what does change, is the item set up...
I do:
Boots x 3 pots
catalyst
Rod of Ages
Merc Treads [and if I have the money get alacrity right off the bat.]
Rylai's crystal scepter
Iceborn Gauntlets
Warmog's Armor/Randuin's Omen [depends on more AD or not]
Abyssal Scepter/Zhonya's Hourglass [depends on more AD or not.. have yet to resort to this though.]
and alacrity if I haven't gotten it in one go with merc treads...
The result. 4K health, about 180 armor, almost 150 M.Resist, STILL HAVING a little over 300 AP and 100 AD.
I haven't found anyone who has countered this without swarming me, and I've been wrecking with this set up.
Mind you though, I don't have ALL T3 runes, my seals are T2, and everything is only T1 cept two glyphs and two quints [currently 7 levels from 30] so... Not fully complete... but I've had people running from me a lot.. I've had elise for a week, and everyone has said this build is one of the best they've seen. Please don't make it experimental, It's no longer at that point... It's more than done, give or take situational items...
Thank you very much for this guide, and thank you VERY much for the experimental build. I love it, and haven't changed anything besides the Frozen Heart.
Edit: I have played this pvp, both 5v5 and 3v3, both SR and DOM.. Most don't get me without swarming me, or they're a counter like Malzahar being played decently or any of the others.
Actaully you'll have an almost 3s CD on your Q, so you can keep the burn from Liandry's permanently applied to the person you're fighting and if it's an auto-attacker Randuin's will keep them permaslowed for double burn damage. Very nice.
Overall I think the experimental build looks better than your primary one. You lose out on burst damage, but gain a lot in survivability and CC. I guess I'd make the 6th item a situational pick out of Abysal Scepter, Malday, and Wit's End, but otherwise it looks solid.
From experience, I'm finding
I'm considering making
Thoughts?
BTW, your pros & cons sections still says Elise has built in stealth detection.
