So long as the support has wards I push to the max with Graves too. I don't play Sivir but I'd probably do the same with her. Makes the enemy miss out on CS to the tower, while you're getting every last hit ( or near enough ).
I did that in ranked against a Vayne once, and she had 60 CS by the time I had 100. And I reacted in time to every gank of the enemy to get away before they could damage me. We lost the game but in the stats screen Vayne admitted I'd outplayed her in laning phase and I'd deserved to win that.

Just change your bindings every game.

Basically, I got up 200 Elo in a few days. Solo with the exception of a few duo games which lost me elo or ended up even.
I had some of the biggest idiots on my teams, got trolled, even by my IRL friend quite a few times, I got around 10 DCs in a month (=s around 150 Elo lost just from that), just today I had two games I was legendary and my team completely threw. One of them was my 5th penta, 2nd with Darius =D
But I played a bit and I did it. I had to play all roles, but I only played a champion or two for each role that I'm comfortable with. My picks:
Top: Jayce, Darius
Mid: Katarina, Cho'gath, Orianna
Jungle: Cho'gath, Maokai
AD: Vayne
Support: Blitz, Lulu
What I kinda wanna say here is that if I can kind of easily (ok not easily, had a lot of rage and qqing on my part)/quickly get up 200 Elo, me being super unlucky in this game in comparison to others, if you have the skill you will be able to get up with time. Trust me, every Elo really is Elo hell. I duoed with a 2k friend for teh lols a few games (ended up going net +1 or 2 elo from those duos l0l) and played vs 1800s and with 1800s, and not only did well in lane but had complete idiots on my team just like in 15 and 16 and 1400s. And in 2ks, apparently, people don't even care so they just trololol.
Especially for season 3 and onward, a word of advice -- don't give up, keep playing, don't get demoralized, because eventually if you play and are good enough you can get up. It may take longer for some than others, due to luck, but it will happen.
Now some fun stuff.
Ironically, the game that I got 1600 in, I played AP mid malphite because of some miscommunication in the team (wanted ori, last pick said right at the end he didn't have her, and had Malph selected for someone else who ended up picking Irelia instead of mid for me, so I rolled with it), and I had a blast. Never played it before so it kinda goes against the whole...stick to what you are good at thing I just mentioned haha.
I also got my 2nd Darius penta, 2nd penta in ranked, 5th penta overall today.
I ALSO got in a trio q with 2 other irl friends, and it wasn't planned...I didn't even notice they were q'ing and we ended up all on the same team. And stomped ;o kinda hilarious
AND I played a quick 3s with those same 3 friends, went jungle cait (and yes I actually did jungle) and had corki and vayne...ya. And we stomped vs a bruiser team. It was great. WORD OF ADVICE: Altho triple AD can tear through vilemaw super quickly, once the enemies get armor it's gg. We won quick, even at around 25 minutes in tho fights started getting harder. :o
BUT so ya. That's my story of today's events/little speech thingy.
And ya I'll be going for plat/diamond s3, chugging through 14 and 1500s in under a week and playing vs 1800s and doing really well super boosted my confidence. :D
EDIT: Oh ya another tip -- I try to be pretty aggressive to get my picks, like for instance if I want mid, I say mid please, and if someone is like no I'm mid, I'll be like please let me mid, I want to win, you can check my stats, etc. BUT I let it go after that if they are still set on their pick, especially if they are a higher pick than me, because a lot of the time (not always mind you) the people who call a role and set it in stone, just like you, are confident in it and you should probably let them do it instead of forcing them into a role they aren't good at. You should main 1-2 roles but be solid in each one so you can fill positions instead of sticking people who aren't into positions they are bad at.
For instance, I just had a blitzcrank game (ya they didn't ban him LOL), and I don't generally support (altho it happens to be one of my stronger roles surprisingly...I guess it's coz they are kind of like casters without damage! :D); originally I wanted to mid, and I wasn't last pick, but this guy was like nope I'm mid, instalocked TF, and I got blitz; TL;DR around 15 minutes into the game TF was legendary and I got super awesome grabs and got my Ashe legendary as well.
So ya.
Oh and a little blitzcrank lesson for people (since I see so many bad blitz's and idk wai :c)
Only grab if you can get a pretty obvious shot (80%+ chance of hitting). Or else you are just wasting mana and letting the enemy be more aggro since they know you don't have grab up for a little while. And don't smartcast it. This is coming from a guy that smartcasts most abilities. It's just so nice to hold it out, look at the little line and see exactly when they get in range of a grab and then instantly click it. :O
And oftentimes W and Power Fist into grab is more effective than grab and then E. Mind if you if you can land a grab on someone running, Q first. But if you are in range to speed up and then pop them up, not only do you now guarantee a grab, but you put them under CC longer. Think about it. If you are grabbing from a distance, then using E, not until they get to you and you E them are people gonna damage them. If you E them up, they are taking damage, then pull them back, they take more damage and then have to take damage on the way out since they were pulled back. SO YA. Pro blitz tips free of charge.
wow this post got super random :D
