I would also say surrender is the worst feature which was ever added to the game. It destroys so much possibilties of still winable games. And if you are really failing, bring it to the end like a man and don't be a coward which hides behind surrender.

You REALLY shouldn't just go right to ranked as soon as you hit 30. :/

1. Don´t go knwowing how to play 5 top champions. Go knowing how to play 3 top, 3 AP, 3 AD, 3 Supports and 3 Junglers. In rankeds, sometimes, you can´t play the role you want, so you must be prepared to be the player the team needs.

2. Don´t argue: No flames, no argues, because that distracts you and you can´t play well. Focus on the game and use the chat for team actions, not to flame.

3. Be possitive: NEVER surrender dude, belive me. I have played epic comebacks thanks of a incredible good ally (Baron steal, team Fights...). The match is not over until one nexus falls.

4. If you lose a game, stop playing ranked that day: Stupid. No man, it can save some ELO. I remember one match that I lost because or jungler went AFK. I joined another match, and because of the win desire, I played a bad game and I ennded feeding my lane (1-9) and loosing the match, ELO, and f***ing my low average of deaths per match.

I think that is the bassic. The rest is what you must find playing. Good luck for S3 ^^

this, no question

I would add that I personally didn't start playing ranked until I knew every champ's abilities and ranges. so I knew what it was I was facing in every situation. not knowing how your lane enemy plays is as good as setting yourself up for feeding.

Insanity; a perfectly rational adjustment to an insane world.
Thx to effinvices for the sig!

If you play as a jungler, be ready to get accused by your team mates for every single bad play they do.

make sure you have a good champion pool and a good rune selection, you can't do anything if your only mid is heimerdinger.

I have never played a ranked match myself - In your opinion, what's the biggest difference between ranked matches and normal? Also, are there still those trolls? Cuz that'll piss me off so much...

There are just as many trolls and bad players on ranked. The biggest difference between ranked and normals...?

Occasionally you'll find two teams that know what they're doing and you'll have to tryhard to win against an equally skilled team.

I'm of a whole other opinion than the rest of this thread. I would say, play ranked WHENEVER YOU FEEL TRYHARD.

A good thing to get a good grip of is you have to learn 4 roles, including jungler and support so you should at least know how to play:
1 Jungler, 1-2 supports, 2 adcarry/top/mid and 2 adcarry/top/mid.

You need at least 4 full runepages, don't bother with a support page the gold runes are not "that" important, just go with your ap-page since they work quite nicely with most supports.

Play ranked every single time you play to win.

Go normal every time you want to play ap xinzhao or play something else which isn't viable or a champ you're simply not good as.

you must learn to carry you entire team.

As a support. Because thats where you will get stuck at if you are anywhere near last pick.

All jokes aside, you need at the very least 15 champs spread through all the lanes you are proficient with. You need 350 wins to be "experienced enough" to play ranked. Otherwise youre going to get swamped by people that are a few cuts above the tards that play in norms constantly. DO draft instead, its almost the same (minus the elo). That should prep you for ranked, try to have at least 100 games of draft before you go tryhard. Stay positive through the dips, because there WILL be dips.

As a top I would tell you to fully understand counter picks but at the same time not to get discouraged if you get countered you never now if you can outplay them.
