If your carry gets fed, they should continue to take the minions too, to keep ahead of the enemy. It's not 'one or the other'. You should only take a kill when your carry is unable too as well.
You can do it, but that doesn't make it right. I can do a lot of things. I can do duo top and no jungle, I can do dragon at 5 minutes. It's not a matter of whether you CAN do it or not, but whether you SHOULD do it or not.
But w/e, this is just a waste of breath.
Then it doesn't go either way, does it? You're either playing carry from the beginning or you're playing support from the beginning, make your mind up as to which one you're going to use. If you're going to use
If you say 'going botlane with
You need to make that a bit clearer if you're going to write a guide on it, since you wrote a section entitled 'what it means to be a support'. Don't then do a 180 and turn yourself into a carry.
if you get fed you carry with this build, if u dont get fed you haress as support with this build. if you becaome the focus, then play bait. your only as good of a carry or support based on your partner. you should be able to obeserve and figure if they are passive, agressive, tactical or just plain stupid in first 10 min of game. from there you figure if u wanan take the kill or assist them on killing.
you claimed its wrong to play carry at bot, and im pointing out it can. if you get fed and ur ad champ isnt, then they should still able to get plenty gold farm farming the minion. you get kills they get minions, balance out. and if you dont get fed, your partner has to, and this build at early lv provide you the ability to help 1 of you dominate in lane phase. lets say your ad gets fed, then you should start farming minions. you can still continue building the same items and sitll provide you the haresive/heal that you need.

you sure about that? cause there are plenty those who can carry with sona, sona carry with support soraka, tank ashe, ad taric...playing sona ap carrying bot lane isnt meant to be cookie cutter. etc i dont have problems of it and theres another build like this already made by jivix in sona top builds, just some slight changes in mastery as well 1 item difference. but throw some extra info out there on stun, importance of wards, and how to bot lane control...
Also, you say that one of the cons are "Extreme slow movement speed at early game" yet you don't opt to get Song of Celerity to level 7? Might be worth a review :) Might save you from early ganks!
no its not worth it at such early lv of 3-4, i do not even have boots instead i spend the gold on wards, i would never get boots at such early level. 1 lv on e is insignifigant at lv 4 with out boots and on laneing phase. more then likely theyd out run you regardless because alot ad players can start out with much higher moving speed then you and 1 lv on e wont beable to even out pass it unless you planning to upgrade e at early start well thats useless. the ward you place is what used to save you from early ganks.
i did meantion it to go both ways. more then likely you end up carrying with it

This... is not a support build.

In terms of the actual build....what? Support Sona already has ridiculous poke without actually focusing your build around it. You don't need both AP quints and glyphs; if you really want to you can use one or the other for a little extra poke. Also, you need Song of Celerity at level 3 or 4 to escape ganks or chase properly. You should max your Q first if you want to poke hard; don't alternate points between it and your heal.
Masteries are ok, but I prefer the extra starting gold instead of extra experience gain. Just personal preference of course. You could also switch out your 9 points in Offense for 9 in Defense if you want more early game armor and health.
Well your item build is just...what? As a support always start with faerie charm and wards, then immediately rush your philo stone and boots or a second GP10 item. The rest of your core items are not even support items, I understand you want that high damage but....just play AP carry if that's what you want.
