He does have a great kit for an aggressive lane with a root, a knock and a zoning tool. Also, his ulti makes tower dive from the enemy a difficult choice. I should practice more with other champs though, but yeah, Maokai is one of my safest champs, I have played him on all 3 lanes successfully. I'm thinking of trying Nunu again, Taric and Lulu.
