I was pissed because there is a bit of a problem of people publishing incomplete guides on MOBAFire. It's gotten somewhat to the point that people think it's okay because everyone does it, even though it really is not. This is quoted from my very own Ten Commandments of Writing a Guide[/url]:
The contents of this guide are actually very good, which makes me feel that the potential was greatly wasted by publishing too soon and with a lack of aesthetics.
I apreciate the feedback a lot man, really. I think I should probably archive this one and publish a finished guide with the coding and all the nice looking things I guess. Also I'm glad that you took the time to explain your first post because at first it felt a bit harsh but now I can relate to what you said.
Thanks!
I take a very strong stand against this, and I will downvote a guide just because it is incomplete. Publishing an incomplete guide is bad, undesirable, and if I had my way, it would be against site regulations.
There is absolutely no reason to publish first and complete it later. While in its incomplete stage, not only will it attract downvotes and negative comments, it will also drop further down the list of new guides. All this is strictly to your disadvantage. Hence we must can the mindset of 'publish first, complete later'.
Before hitting the publish button, ask yourself: Is my guide ready for viewers to read? If not, hold off on the publish button until it is.
One exception: if the guide is significantly completed. If a guide is, let's say 90% complete, it is okay to publish first and work on the incomplete parts (for some reason this is usually lane matchups). Make sure you complete it soon though.
If you accidentally hit publish, archive your guide and then start a new one, and copy-paste everything from the old one into the new one. You have to redo your cheat sheet manually though. That's why it is probably good to leave the cheat sheet for last.

Well, not really, I'm very motivated to work on this and improve the guide with your suggestions, but I really believe that the content has value, beyond my MOBA noobie mistakes xD. Don't forget that writing a guide in your second language requires more than the average motivation, since I have to look up dictionaries , spelling and learn a whole new platform to publish in.
I can only hope people will read it and help me to improve it.
Thanks!
Don't get me wrong but you may imagine that readers will be pissed if they read a book and it has no ending and is missing chapters. And what happens if you tell them it was your first book. While you were creating this guide there was a hint on "how to create a guide". If you follow those advices, there should be no problem.
Best regards,
I'm Lord & Master
I think it's because the first, great feeling about writing a guide vanished very quickly, just by writing. And finally after 2 hours when the motivation was zero, the publish button seemed to be nearby....

I have to say your comment was a bit discouraging at first but I decided to take it as a positive criticism. So thanks, I will learn how to improve the coding to make it more visually apealing.
Thanks!
Okay this one's tragic. First glance says it's wordy and lacks in the way of aesthetics, so -1. However it is a very good guide, so +1. Then I read until the end and it's incomplete, so definitely -1.
People need to learn to hold off on the publish button til the guide is completed. Gawd.
