Hi guys :3 I'm a little anxious posting this here, but I feel like I will be more motivated if people know I'm doing this and will know if I fail by cheating.

At the end of this post you see an unedited picture of me. No make up. Haven't brushed my hair. Dressed in something very light and airy due to the tremendous heat wave here. This is me and I don't want to be that person any more; she's too heavy. This is my before picture. And hopefully in a month's time, you will be able to compare my before photo to my after photo and notice some differences.

This year I plan to lose a lot of weight and one step in that direction is cutting out the consumption of fast and processed foods - and meat. The removal of fatty foods and too much protein from a meal of meat per day will detox my body. The idea behind this detox is to drink only juice of vegetables and fruit, blended yourself at home; no added sweeteners or other additives. The ratio between fruit and vegetables is 20% for fruit and 80% for veggies, as the fruit has a lot of natural sugars and for a reboot/detox, you're wanting more nutrients. In addition to the fruit and veggies, you're also receiving another benefit that many don't think of... water. If you're one of those people who don't drink a drop of water all day, due to inactivity or just plain not feeling thirsty, this detox will get that water consumption going.

My blender isn't great, so today my juice is a little chunky. This may be slightly detrimental, as it's meant to be completely blended in order to absorb the nutrients as a liquid. But I was very eager to start, so my first drink will just have to be a little chewy; I will blend it longer in the future or buy a juicer. I'm thinking that today will the the "intermittent" day, wherein I eat the pulp to replace the feeling of eating. Tomorrow, the juice will be strained and the pulp discarded (maybe I'll make a compost bin outside for it!).

Breakfast/lunch:
- 1 banana
- 2 stalks of celery
- handful of baby spinach leaves
- 1 carrot
- 2 cups of water
// all blended together

I'm drinking/eating it right now and it's surprisingly refreshing and very very filling. I'm putting the other half into the fridge for later, stored in a 600ml Mount Franklin water bottle. I will be going shopping in an hour or so to buy some fresh fruit and vegetables to juice, and possibly a juicer if the local store I walk to has one.

Now, important things to note: detoxing like this can cause nausea, weakness and possibly diarrhoea. Not looking forward to any of those side effects, but it sounds quite normal; junk food withdrawal. That's just a warning if some of you wanted to try with me.
