I'd just have looked into the guides of Champions that you want to play and taken those. But I guess FlatAD Quints, Armor Seals, Scaling Mres Glyphs, Armor Penetration Marks (Or Flat AD) for ADC, Gold% Quints or Movement for Support along with Armor/Mres stuff from above.
For Bruisers it depends if you want to jungle and which Champ you play.
Irelia For instance likes Attackspeed marks because of her Passive (and they give Junglers in General a faster cleartime). Otherwise stick to Flat AD Or Armor Penetration. Also wether youre going into the Jungle or not you need Armor seals, since you will either need them while jungling or against the other AD Bruiser you will most likely meet on toplane. For Glyphs I'd still take scaling Mres. And for Quints, well still depends on the Champion, Flat AD is nice for say Riven because she scales so well with AD. There is also Flat HP which is nice for an early Game advantage.

Well you certainly need one for AP carry, which have a couple of different variations based on which champ you want and if you have a good jungler with hard cc. Generally your adc page needs armor yellows, scaling mres blues, and ad reds and quints. Some adc's (like
Draven) are more interested in arpen instead of ad reds and quints, since his
Spinning Axe gives extra AD on hit anyway. In general looking at the High ELO guides for specific champs will give you a great example of how to build your rune pages.

^yep, should have thought of giving you the basic list myself. To any of the scouts out there, is there a S3 list of Tier 1 runes or is the S2 list still good? A link to that article should be very helpful.
