I like the idea of adc thresh, mostly because the of the passive of his q is stacking with ad and a ridiculous good way. Though instead of items such as sword of the divine, I would go for Runaan's Hurricane, to spread the passive dmg of the q in team fights.
Would give a really tasty outcome of teamfights, in your favor.

Not a bad guide. I've actually been playing Thresh as an ADC for a while. There's really only two things that I think really need to be changed.
1. You NEED Spellsword on EVERY mastery setup. By late game playing ADC you should have a minimum of 150 souls which means +8 damage from 1 mastery point. Nothing else even comes close to that.
2. In defense you take MR NOT Armor. The reason for this is by late game you will be running around with 120 armor from your passive but terrible MR. Also most supports deal magic damage so it helps early game too.
Not the best guide I've seen but I'll upvote to counter some of the AD Thresh haters.
P.S. I prefer support blitzcrank. Level 1 with double grabs and sit in the bush for easy firstbloods. It's really funny.

Just had to reply to this. The guy is trying to make a guide for a game, a game is meant to be FUN.
Therefore to give others a new avenue of FUN he has decided to give his own two cents on a method of using thresh in a new, fun way. yet you knock him and practically spit at him just because he decided to make this guide. Also your earlier conduct was terrible. Its atleast the right path to have eventually played some games and given evidence, but it still doesnt change the fact that he was having FUN as thresh and hopes that others can too.

TL;DR: Your being overly negative and abusive given the topic of discussion and that the guy is just defending himself, trying to make new, cool ideas. Same goes for Laggermeister.

for fun you don't say? What's the fun in losing? please explain. Have you seen any pros play adc thresh? ever?

why is everyone so harsh towards adc thresh, yes his abilities are not made for adc, but doesnt matter , you dont even have to use them, i'd say second build works good, just add infinity edge as core item. Played with that build many times in normal , and never lost, even had some scores like 18 0, so it means build is good, at least for normals..

Luckily, people aren't usually as thick as you. This is probably why you're a Walmart Bagger.

Something thats been trending lately is starting with 10x healthpots and a couple of wards as boots aren't quite as neccasary anymore since their nerf. Its a good idea if your looking to outsustain your opponent (helps that you can swap a couple of health pots out for mana for spamming abilities) and the wards give extra safety from ganks.
Not sure if its exactly optimal, but it seems like an interseting alternative to the current meta.

Hey, decent guide man.

I don't like manamune on build #2 though, seems like a waste.

Glad you like Adc Thresh @Thetrumpcard, with the proper support you can get that damage earlier than the 40min mark, as with any champion you just have to learn how to play him :P

This really is a great build, sucessfully PROVING that Thresh CAN play the ADC Role.

The Key to Thresh's Ability to play as an ADC is the fact that is bonus Magic DMG on hit Scales with his AD. Due to this, after fully charged and about 40 minutes into a game I dealt about 1k dmg on my first strike!!! Thats just nuts, and I wasn't even fed!! And the dmg output is that of a hybrid, both AD and Magic damage, (Actually mostly Magic) so its hard to a tank to properly build both MR and Armor.

DON'T HATE ON ADC THRESH!!! THIS BUILD GUIDE PROVES THAT IT CAN BE SUCCESSFUL!!!
