In the top left there is a sign with "Season 2" and arpen penetration runes are explained the in chapter "Runes".
I won't update this guide in here anymore since mobafire is not a place for an advanced guide.
Check it out on solomid.net if you feel ready for it.
What you say about warmog's its true. Even that, i build it if the game is not going well.
The others guides doesnt explain too much about voli. Most voli dont use (or even know) about the Flash + Rolling + Majestic combo.
Suggestions:
- Add Majestic Roar to Flash + Rolling combo.
- Why dont Attack Speed Marks? Attack Speed helps with the faster activation of Frenzy and more attacks during the 12 seconds of ulti.
- Why no an early Hearth of Gold? Even before the shields. Specially if you are supporting. Getting Randiun without taking advantage of the gold earned through time from Hearth have no sense.
- Something that works great (is just an alternative) is the speed on volibear. Taking Switness (on utility masteries) and getting Speed Quintaessences + Initiator gives voli like 10% more speed. That is a lot, specially on jungle
The utility given by the new warmog's ( was nerfed ) is hardly justified by the amount of gold you pay.
You may have recognized that warmog's is rarely bought, this is why:
- you are wasting a lot of gold for hp-regeneration which is getting worthless in mid-/late game
- warmog's makes you an unflexible farmer ( warmog's is a loss without stacks )
- the components of warmog's are giving you sustain in lane but they aren't as useful as phage
( last-hit help, pushing ability if required, the important proc and cheaper )
- warmog's is giving you an overdose of health:
You should aim for 100 resists for 2000 health, 150 resists for 2500 health and 200 resists for 3000 health. ( vs a balanced match-up, give preference to armor in late game )
I choose tanking more damage over more damage on frenzy, it's your choice though.
