Nice guide, anyway it can be updated to the new Garen style?

So, another full tank Garen? Well, as with any full tank Garen, first, your Courage gives you enough tankyness to build more damage, making all that tankyness not needed. Second, your only damage you will have is Demacian Justice, which just steals kills. The rest of your kit will deal no damage. Third, you got no game changing CC in order to make up for no damage. So basically, in lategame, you are a KS ***** which denies your team the chance of victory. Pls, never write that up as a guide.

This is a guide for people that know the basic CC's of other champions.
I intend in giving the guide a facelift today after school and I will attempt address some of the things you said.

Well, when teamfights start my Garen has the Role to assassin fast the enemy carries and not to go in as a Fulltank. For that role there are far better champions with great CCs to initialise fights. Garen has absolutely no CC abilities. My Garen is going in when enemyteam is under CC. It all depends on which other champions you are in team. Thats why i have a chapter about good fighting partners for Garen. With the right fightmates Garen can develop full potential. If you already have a Fulltank in Team, why should Garen go for FullTank as well? Id only gk fulltank if there is noone else to take that role. But in that case id better chose another champion like amumu.

About the early game stuff you are right. Garen needs to dominate early for money or he will be useless later because of no good items.

Bush-Ren is he called, thats for some reason - always jumping from bushes to gank/assassinate. I have triedvJungler Garen j4f several times, though i always had a hard early in jungle, i could assassinate several times on surprise from the bushes even when teamfight started. With a jungler.Garen!?! So why should i build him fulltank if it works perfectly with a AD Bruiser Assassin Garen and someone else in team can play a real FullTank?

But as i said before. You have another playstyle with Garen: Protect your own carry. My: Assassin the enemy carries. Offense is best Defense. My style.

Perseverance is a bad passive after early except you go fulltank. The healing stops by any attacks except from creeps. So even for jungling its ****. In my opinion Garen needs a good mix of Offense & Defense Values, since his W gives him enough sustain throughout the whole game.

But hey, for a Fulltank.Build your guide is not bad. If youd elaborate the formatting and giving more content for especially Fulltank.Playstyle on Garen and with which Fight Partners Garen should go Fulltank, id definitely upvote you.

Garen isn't an "assassin"
He is an incredible early game champion, that excels at shutting down Darius, Shen, and other top laners.
His late game is weak, yes, but he really shouldn't always be diving in.
Garen can function well as a peeler too, with a silence and a Randuin's Omen slow, he can keep assassins of his carries.
I understand what your saying, but Perseverance and Courage are two very good defensive abilities, and with the armor shred of cleaver, you become an unkillable beast that has a silence, insane HP regen, good AOE, great armor shred, CC Reduction, DMG block, and a ranged finisher.
I rest my case.

Hi, since you commented my first Garen Guide, ill give my opinion on your own Guide as well.

Runes: Red ArPs are more useful after early game to do enough Damage. I played with Red ADs myself a long time, and i cant miss the ArP Runes anymore.

Early Items: Its ok if you are playing more defensively. For myself, im going for more Aggression, so i would start with the brutalizer first, thereafter Armor, thereafter maybe Health, if not MR. Buying Warmog's so early is not the best i can see for playing Garen Top Lane. With Courage and health potions, it was never a problem for me to deal with incoming damage. But doing too little damage and letting the enemy staying long at lane at early game, is quite a problem.

Final item build: For a Fulltank Garen its maybe quite good, though i would change the item buy order. Maybe Mercury Treads - Black Cleaver - Sunfire Cape - Randuin's Omen - Warmog's Armor - Guardian Angel.

But since i myself wouldnt take the role of a Fulltank with Garen, but rather a Tanky Assassin, i would better buy 3 offense items and 2 Defense Items for enough Sustain in my games with Garen.

Masteries: Since you are going Fulltank with items already, why dont go 21-9-0 with masteries to compensate the little Damage you do at late game? Sorry, i just cant accept playing Fulltank Garen. He is not meant to be played as Fulltank, because there are way better Champions for that Role.

Design: As you said yourself - visually not very attractive. I myself am not a pro at formatting with bbcode, but i would suggest you to add some pics or ornaments.

Content: In my opinion not bad, but way too short in my eyes. But hey, you like it short, i like it more lengthy. No reason to tell its bad.

Conclusion: For People, who want to play Fulltank.Garen, this guide might help. But in my opinion not the right approach to develop Garens full potential. His Skills just scale too good for not going for at least 2 high AD items. His role is in my opinion AD Bruiser, Tanky Carry Assassin and Bushganker. But taking whole damage at teamfights as first position? OMG! No way. But its my own playstyle.

Im not going to downvote this guide, because its simply another approach for building Garen. And thats absolutely ok for me.

@Kolten44 I like to rush brutalizer and I also have no problem with getting Sunfire Aegis before my warmogs sometimes. If I need more pushing power and some armor, I sometimes take sunfire. But, since I end up picking Garen before their top picks, I end up against Elise Yorick and Pantheon so the extra health and great regen passive on Warmog's is great for helping me out in the lane. Along with your passive, you get amazing health regen.
And the last part, "gives away...more survivability" Huh? Pretty sure Warmog's Armor is better for raw survivability then a brutalizer and sunfire. Don't know what you were trying to say there...
