I can do whatever I want with my guide...

And I always get a few people who like my builds when I publish them.

It's just the mobanoobs that need the pretty who complain...

There is nothing wrong with a simple but effective guide.

Then you can still archive it, because the guide won't be erased this way, it is only harder to find on the internet.

You can just post links to the build, np.

Or, you keep it online, and you will get more comments about how little coding you have :P

I don't write this for the general populace of mobafire... I write it for a few of my friends and to remind myself of my build paths because I play a wide range of champions and sometimes will shelf them for a while and need to remind myself of a few things.

The general populace of mobafire is not worth helping, to be perfectly honest.

That is a rather stupid argument.
You make a guide for the readers, not for yourself.
Why would you make a guide in the first place if you do not want to help the readers?

Readers are lazy and lazy people love pictures and structure.
In order to help the reader, you gotta put some coding in it.

If you do not care about the readers, then I suggest you archive this build and keep it for yourself.

Ugg... point proven again...

And you don't buy a liche bane because you really aren't building that much AP.

All the items you build are tanky AP items. Items that provide you tankiness first off and AP secondarily.

Tanky AP items are extremely cost effective stat-wise because they give you all the stats at a discounted value due to their non-synergistic nature.

In order for a liche bane to worthwhile, you need to really be stacking AP. A lich bane costs 3000g to a sheen's 1200g. So you expect almost 3 times the damage out of a liche bane's proc's in order to justify upgrade. In order to get 300 damage out of a liche bane proc, you'd need 333 AP. You won't get anywhere near that without a six item build...

And even with a six item build, you'll only be just breaking the thresh-hold. For the same amount of gold you can instead get IBG. Which will increase the value of the procs to about 250 damage, just 50 less than Lichebane but it will also grant additional tankiness through armor and 10% CDR for more procs on average and to get more benefit of base values AND the massive benefit of AOE Procs and slows.

In short, I don't get lich bane because it's not as good as IBG.

Though the build is doubtful, it is actually the guide itself that bothers me the most.

You have minimal coding/structure, which really makes it an annoying read.
Put some pictures in, use some colours and use some titles to make it a better read.

Also; If you are playing Udyr AP anyway, why not build Lich Bane? Since you spam a lot of spells, it will be reactivated pretty much all the time.

jhoijhoi, I've appreciated your contributions on this site for a long time. You are one of the few veterans left. You have my respect.

But Mobafire will never be a top notch theory crafting site. First off, it allows too much anonymity. I can tell by reading through Satella's and -NA- Veng Lmfao's guides that they are unskilled both at the game and at theory crafting. The fact that they are too ashamed of their ranking to verify their account is the first clue. The second is in the details. You can tell if a person has mastery of a champion in the details they include. People should know the basics just by watching other players play. You start talking about the tiny details like how to body block just the right way, or spell priming! or positioning and you can tell a gold+ player from a bronze one.

I feel that it is my responsibility as a veteran theory crafter and player to expose frauds. These two are frauds. They have these guides that are highly rated... and its undeserved. They talk like they are gold, platinum or diamond players... when they are low tier silver at best. You know why they get pissy with me? Because I can see through their disguise. Their guides are nothing more than pretty rewrites of guides already written. Nothing new, nothing innovative, just made pretty and slapped a new label on it. There is a word for this... plagiarism.

Also, I don't get mad at feedback; just as long as its objective and well thought out. Kind of like how I wrote on his Udyr build. I asked him, how do you make this work without mana or mana regen built? Legitimate concern. What is this build's niche? Legitimate question. I objectively looked at a glaring weakness of lane Udyr and saw that it was not addressed in the build and I brought it to light.

Go ahead and look through the feedback I got on my other guides... I like feedback. And it doesn't have to be all +1s either. I enjoy theory crafting and theory crafting discussion. Sadly, this site cares more about coding, pretty pictures, and how many youtube videos you embedded...

You know the worst thing about this site? Everyone has equal voice. I know, how un-American of me to say this. But lets face it, expertise follows a hierarchy.

There are a very very few people who have a really strong understanding and whole whole ton of no-bodies who know nothing. But on this site, all votes count equal. I could go write a pretty guide with all the usual items for a champion. And the masses would flock to it and I'd get +1s for how nice my formatting and coding and pretty pictures and I'll have contributed absolutely nothing to the player base.

I could go around giving everyone +1's and telling them how great they are and get all kinds of +reps for being a nice guy... That's not what I'm here for. I'm here to really contribute something.

Hey you guys don't have to get so pissed off at each other.

@Pelikins:

Yes, people here at Mobafire do value having their guides being pretty, and it makes it overall much easier to read. That is just one of the characteristics of this website. Now, if you claim to be as good as a theory crafter as you say, then your guide should be able to get up there in the higher percentages. However, your attitude towards those who gave you some constructive criticism might be one of the largest factors why your guide isn't doing well. Another factor: Although some constructive criticism may come off as on the rude side, there is a large difference in disagreeing with the criticism, and insulting them unnecessarily. You should keep in mind that some people might already dislike the guide before they even read it just because of your attitude towards others. As for the actual guide, I don't play udyr so I can't vote on it.

@Veng:

He may have trolled voted you or just down-voted your guide. Deal with it. Your guide is still on top anyways. Be the better man ^^

Let's tone it down in here, guys :) It would probably be for the best if the comment section was about the actual guide itself, so that readers looking for more info can read about the guide, not about revenge down-voting. I had someone say they read through all 70+ pages on one of my guides to see if I answered his particular question. Let's keep the comments clean for dedicated MobaFire users like that :)
