Like I said earlier, what good is a farmless Ashe, besides being fodder in teamfights?
In the scenario that for some reason the enemy team didn't completely trash Ashe, I can definitely see her being a completely amazing idea - but that can be applied to every single champion who gets stomped top lane.
Also, if you're getting camped by the jungler at top lane, you're doing your job as a top laner. Relieves all jungle pressure from every other lane and potentially open up Dragons for your team.
Is that what you're telling me? If so, why is there a whole guide about countering just one or two champions? Who else does Ashe counter top lane?
And in this scenario, say the enemy team sees now that allied team has double ADC. So they pick a jungler with a gap-closer, uninterruptable ult - could you imagine Vi? Or whoever.
And I still bring back the statement: a top lane Ashe would be camped by the jungler/mid all game.
Solo top Ashe's viability shouldn't be judged based on how many match-ups she can win, rather how well she wins the match-ups she wins.
Edit: I only used Darius as an example because he was the first top lane to come to mind.
Her AA range is far larger than Darius's hook range, and Darius's hook isn't even as responsive as a gap closer.
Ashes to Ashes is a good guide and it has the same build as me.

I saw the guide name and immediately screwed up my mouth as if I had eaten a really sour green apple. Your main point about why double ADC is good, is because you'll have heaps of sustained damage end game. That's perfectly fine, and in fact I enjoy playing double ADC games.
However, in those double ADC games, the other ADC typically has an escape (as they're on their own) and they are played mid lane. Surprisingly, mid lane is "safer" than top lane, when playing an ADC with an escape.
Playing an ADC top with no escape makes me cringe. All I can think about is a Darius hooking you and burning your flash. And then 20 or whatever seconds later, doing it again, and you have no flash. I just don't think it's viable.
I'm not questioning your mechanical skill, or your game knowledge, I'm just speaking from experience and from gut instinct. If the enemy team had a top Ashe, you'd better believe that they'd be ganked forever. And what is Ashe with no items? A stun every minute or so, and a slow-bot.
I won't downvote, because I haven't tried it, and I haven't ever downvoted an Ashe guide. But I really don't think this idea is viable, sorry. I liken it to saying "Oh, ADC Sona top, annoying poke (quick guide)" - both have a stun, both have annoying poke, and now that I think about it, Sona might even be more viable, just because she has a heal and a movement speed boost/slow on Power Chord.
Sorry for the long post.
EDIT: So I read some of the other posts about her unviability, and while she really isn't very viable against a decent amount of top laners, there's one thing you can't doubt: ashe can kite really well. She will destroy anyone who's susceptible to being kited. Sorry
i was looking for an answer from bitpik, but thanks guys :P
fu i'm better. >;C But yeah, forgot to say Ashe is harder to gank. Also it's easier to farm in bad match-ups with her than with Vayne. ( EAT ALL MY W'S OR LET ME FARM AHUE )

It depends on matchups. Overall Vayne is better at 1v1 toplane but i don't Think she handles ganks well at all. Any form of CC can greatly affect her in ganks, and her E is unreliable because of charge time. If her range was a bit higher then sure, Vayne would beat Ashe in every possible respect.
